Har Ghar Triranga & College Foundation Day Celebration

The valedictory programme of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign was organised on 17 August 2026 with great patriotic fervour. More than 100 students, teachers and non-teaching staff participated in the programme, making it a vibrant celebration of national pride and unity.
The programme commenced with an opening song and Saraswati Vandana presented by Prof. Mriganka Sankar Poddar, Prof. Urmimala Dasgupta and Prof. Soma Chattopadhyay, setting a graceful and auspicious tone for the occasion.This was followed by the opening address by the Principal, Ma’am, who welcomed the gathering and highlighted the significance of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign and the values of patriotism, unity and responsible citizenship.The patriotic spirit was further enriched by an evocative recitation by Dr. Gargi Bhattacharya, Professor of Economics, followed by a stirring Hindi poem by Anupama Biswas, Semester V student.The highlight of the programme was an inspiring address by Retired Colonel Ranendu Chakraborty, who shared his first-hand experiences and reflections on courage, duty and service to the nation. His presentation was beautifully complemented by his wife Smt. Swati Chakraborty.The entire programme was anchored by Prof. Chayanika Roy, who conducted the proceedings with grace and enthusiasm. The programme concluded with everyone rising together in a united expression of respect and patriotism for the National Anthem, “Jana Gana Mana.”

Mental health session

A movie on the Partition of India was screened at the college auditorium as part of the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign to create awareness about the historical and human dimensions of Partition. The screening was followed by a special programme on “Mind and Meditation”, conducted by the Brahma Kumaris. The session focused on the importance of mental peace, mindfulness and meditation in leading a balanced and meaningful life.
Around 80 students and 20 teachers participated in the programme.
