About Us
Bhaktivedanta Institute, a non-profit organization with its registered office at Kolkata, India, has been spearheading the academic campaign towards a mature understanding of the reality through the integration of modern science and spirituality. Dr. T. Singh (His Holiness Bhaktisvarupa Damodara Swami), the founding director of the Institute, had tirelessly worked for three decades toward

s the synthesis of science and spirituality. Dr. Singh launched “Savijnanam – Scientific Exploration for Spiritual Paradigm” journal, which is distinctive in its theme with rich philosophical and academic inputs on the exuberant subject matter of science-spirituality.
2. Vision and Mission
Dr. Singh, the founding director of Bhaktivedanta Institute, had immense concern for the holistic development of the younger generation. He felt that, our younger generations are educated in the latest scientific and technological developments in various disciplines at numerous colleges and universities around the world, but need training in the spiritual foundation to make proper use of them. With this being the central theme, the vision of the Bhaktivedanta Institute is to promote a mature understanding of the reality. To bridge this gap, Dr. T. Singh (Founding Director, Bhaktivedanta Institute) and Srila A. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (Founder Acharya, Bhaktivedanta Institute) desired to offer value-based and science-spirituality related courses and academic programs. The distance learning courses aim towards the fulfilment of this vision.
3. Why only Correspondence Courses? The courses are offered in the correspondence format to suit the requirements of students and professionals who may wish to devote only free hours towards the course in every week and thereby take up the course as an add-on component in their career building exercise.
