International Women’s Day was celebrated with much vigour at NIFT Kolkata. The male employees headed by Dr. Brijesh Deore, Campus Director organised an event for all the women colleagues. Campus Director welcomed all and addressed the gathering, inspiring them with his wise words.

Mr. Prosenjit Bhadra, Assoc. Prof. TD anchored the event and added to the much required humour, in his own witty style.

Mementoes were distributed to all women employees by the male members of the team. Some games were arranged and prizes were given for the same to the winners. Some faculty members shared their experience at work in the capacity of a woman as well. NIFT

National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kolkata planned several activities under the SWACHHATA PAKHWADA between 1 to 15 March 2024 in the campus and hostel premises. Among the many activities some major ones included the oath taking ceremony led by Prof. Dr. Reenit Singh, workshop headed by Dr. Brijesh Deore, Campus Director, regarding waste management and maximising food utilisation aiming towards reducing wastage, cleaning of reservoirs and tanks, cleaning of he external facia of the campus. Weeding of the field and garden, cleaning fo all machine rooms, labs and the common areas were part of the activities. The SDAC unit sensitised the students through several competitions around the SWACHHATA PAKHWADA as well. The fortnight activities inspired and included employees and students of the campus. NIFT
