19.03.2026 marked the inauguration of IPR cell at Deshbandhu College for Girls !
We were privileged enough to listed to distinguished resource persons from the Department of Science & Technology and Biotechnology, Govt of West Bengal . From India’s first GI tagged , Darjeeling tea to Banglar Rasogolla to Trade Secrets of Coca Cola was discussed in the lecture today.
Also the speakers who encouraged our students to come up with innovative ideas and try for entrepreneurial activities and to apply for the Intellectual Property Rights were indeed mentors and guides for our students . We hope to have such more programs in days to come .

Deshbandhu college for girls observed students week from 2.01.2026 to 09.01.2026 as directed by the Department of Higher Education. The inauguration programme on 2nd January 2026 was followed by career counseling programme on 3rd January, cultural program on 4th, extempore and poster competition on 5th, psychological counseling on 6th, aids awareness programme on 7th, quiz competition on 8th and finally tree plantation programme on the last day of the week I.e. on 9th. Students participated enthusiastically and they enjoyed a lot.
