Call For Papers: NUJS Law Review for Special Issue on Disability Law and Disability Rights Movement

The NUJS Law Review, for this special issue, is looking for submissions focusing on disability law jurisprudence, policies and structures. With the recent rise in the conversations on disability and the Supreme Court’s accessibility audit, the Journal also wishes to contribute to and further bolster the voices in this space. The submissions need not be limited to the Indian discourse and can be comparative in their analysis. We would especially encourage persons with disabilities to make submissions for this special issue.

The NUJS Law Review’s previous special issue focussing on the evolution of q***r jurisprudence and the Navtej Singh Johar judgement gained extremely favourable traction and furthered the Journal’s contribution to q***r scholarship, five of which have been cited by the Supreme Court in its historic judgement decriminalising homosexuality. Besides Court citations, the Journal has also been cited by eminent advocates like Arvind Datar and Government Ministries like the Ministry of Finance in the Economic Survey 2017-18.
