We are proud to spotlight Karthik Chilamkurty (B Tech CSE, 2019), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru Campus, on receiving the Infosys 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (AFE) in London, UK.

Infosys, one of the world's leading IT and consulting giants with a presence across 50+ countries, reserves this recognition for those who go above and beyond — making it a distinction that truly means something. Receiving it on the global stage in London, after nearly seven years of consistent growth within the organisation, speaks volumes.

Karthik currently serves as a Specialist Programmer L3 at Infosys UK, and this award is a testament to the impact he continues to make.

We are proud to spotlight Rupak Narayana Sohan (B.Tech, Computer Science, 2024), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru Campus, on being recognised as a 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 during his Master's in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence at the Naveen Jindal School of Management - UT Dallas, The University of Texas at Dallas.

We are proud to spotlight Gopika M (B.Tech CSE, 2025), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, as she embarks on her professional journey as an Associate Engineer at L&T Technology Services (LTTS).

LTTS is a globally recognised engineering services company and a subsidiary of the Larsen & Toubro Group. It works with some of the world's leading brands across sectors like aerospace, medical devices, transportation, and industrial technology. Starting here means being thrown into real-world engineering challenges from day one.

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗛𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆.

Over 14 years at the Amrita School of Business - Coimbatore, Dr. Hemamala Krishnan didn't just teach Operations Strategy; she shaped how a generation of business leaders thinks, questions, and decides. Generations of Amrita alumni carry her lessons with them, long after the classroom.

A proud Amrita alumna herself, having earned her PhD right here at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Dr. Hemamala brought something rare to the faculty: she knew exactly what it felt like to be on both sides of the table. That made her not just a professor, but a mentor who genuinely got it.

We are proud to spotlight Dr. Aadityan Sridharan (Integrated M.Sc. in Physics, 2015), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, on his appointment as an Editorial Board Member of Nature—Scientific Reports.

Published by Springer Nature, Scientific Reports is a Q1, globally recognized journal, known for publishing high-impact research across disciplines.

Now an Assistant Professor at the Amrita Center for Wireless Networks and Applications(AmritaWNA), Dr. Aadityan’s work focuses on earthquake-induced landslides, a critical area in disaster prediction and risk mitigation.

His journey from Amrita’s Department of Physical Sciences to contributing to one of the world’s leading scientific journals reflects the growing global impact of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham alumni in research and academia.

From electronics labs in Bangalore to the data-driven skyline of Sydney — some journeys are anything but linear.

We are proud to spotlight Ronak Ranjan (B. Tech, EIE, 2022), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru Campus, as he embarks on his Master's in Data Science and Innovation at the UTS: University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia.

UTS is ranked among the top 100 young universities in the world. It is renowned for its industry-integrated approach to tech and innovation, making it one of Australia's most forward-thinking institutions.

Since graduating, Ronak has built a strong industry foundation — first as a Software Engineer at Searce, a leader in cloud and data engineering solutions, and then as a Databricks Consultant at Deloitte, one of the world's most trusted names in enterprise technology and consulting.

20 years into a career… and still choosing to start over.

In this episode, Mithun Raj, Chief Digital Transformation Officer at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, shares a deeply honest take on late career change.

After spending over two decades in the IT industry, he chose to step into a completely new path—pursuing a PhD while continuing to work. Not because he had to, but because something felt missing.

His message is simple: it’s never too late to realign your career with what truly fulfills you.

We are proud to spotlight Rohith Areth Koroth (B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, 2013), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore Campus, on successfully completing his PhD at Jönköping University.

Jönköping University is well regarded for its strong industry collaboration and applied research focus, particularly in engineering, manufacturing, and production systems.

His doctoral research focused on 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁—addressing real-world challenges in designing efficient and sustainable engineering systems.

Before this, he completed his Master’s in Product Development from Chalmers University of Technology, one of Europe’s leading institutions for engineering and innovation.

He now works as a Business Developer at TRATON GROUP in Sweden, part of the Volkswagen Group and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of commercial vehicles and transportation solutions.

We are extremely proud to see his journey from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham to advanced research and global industry, and we wish him continued success in his professional and academic pursuits.
