പ്രിയ അലുംമ്നി അംഗങ്ങളെ,
ഗവൺമെന്റ് കോളേജ് ഓഫ് നഴ്സിംഗ് കോഴിക്കോടിന്റെ വികസന പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിൽ അലുമ്നി അംഗങ്ങൾ നൽകിവരുന്ന പിന്തുണയ്ക്ക് ഹൃദയം നിറഞ്ഞ നന്ദി.

നമ്മുടെ കോളേജിൽ നിന്നും നാൽപ്പത് ബാച്ച് ബി.എസ്.സി നഴ്സിംഗ് വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളും, മുപ്പത്തിയെട്ട് ബാച്ച് ജി.എൻ.എം വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളും, ഇരുപത്തിയാറ് ബാച്ച് എം.എസ്.സി നഴ്സിംഗ് വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളും, പഠനം പൂർത്തിയാക്കി ലോകത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ വിവിധ മേഖലകളിൽ സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിച്ചുവരുന്നു.
ഇത്രയും ബൃഹത്തായ പൂർവ്വ വിദ്യാർത്ഥി കൂട്ടായ്മ നമ്മുടെ കരുത്തും അഭിമാനവുമാണ്. നിലവിൽ ബി.എസ്.സി നഴ്സിംഗ്, എം.എസ്.സി നഴ്സിംഗ്, ജി.എൻ.എം കോഴ്സുകളിലായി ഇവിടെ 483 വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ പഠിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.

കാലത്തിനനുസൃതമായ അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യങ്ങളുടെ അഭാവം ഇപ്പോഴും നമ്മുടെ ഒരു പ്രധാന പ്രശ്നമായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നു. അതിൽ അടിയന്തിരമായ ഇടപെടലുകൾ ആവശ്യമായത് വിദ്യാർഥികളുടെ പ്രായോഗിക പരിശീലനത്തിന് കൊണ്ടുപോകാനുള്ള ഗതാഗത സൗകര്യത്തിന്റെ അപര്യാപ്തതയിലാണ്.

നമ്മുടെ കോളേജിൽ 3 വാഹനങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുവെങ്കിലും 2 വാഹനങ്ങളുടെ കാലാവധി കഴിഞ്ഞതിനാൽ ഇത്രയും വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്കായി നിലവിൽ 33 സീറ്റുകളുള്ള ഒരു ബസ് മാത്രമാണുള്ളത്. ഏകദേശം 2 വർഷത്തോളമായി ഈ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ട് നമ്മൾ നേരിട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്. മാത്രമല്ല ഇപ്പോഴുള്ള ബസിന്റെ കാലാവധി 2027 ൽ അവസാനിക്കുന്നതുമാണ്.

നിലവിലെ സെമസ്റ്റർ സിസ്റ്റത്തിൽ ഒരേസമയം തന്നെ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളെ ഗ്രൂപ്പുകളായി വിവിധ സ്പെഷ്യാലിറ്റി ഏരിയകളിലേക്ക് പോസ്റ്റിങ്ങിന് അയക്കേണ്ടതായി വരുന്നു. പലപ്പോഴും സ്വകാര്യ വാഹനങ്ങൾ വലിയ തുക നൽകി വാടകയ്ക്ക് എടുക്കേണ്ടതായി വരാറുണ്ട്.


ഈ വിഷയം 2026 മെയ് മാസം ഒന്നാം തീയതി നടന്ന പൂർവ്വ വിദ്യാർത്ഥി സംഗമത്തിൽ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുകയും, അതിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത അംഗങ്ങൾ അനുഭാവപൂർവ്വം പരിഗണിക്കുകയും, അസോസിയേഷൻ മുൻകൈയെടുത്ത് നമ്മുടെ കോളേജിലേക്ക് ഒരു ബസ് വാങ്ങിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള നടപടികൾ സ്വീകരിക്കാമെന്ന് നിർദ്ദേശം വെയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഈ മഹത്തായ ലക്ഷ്യം സാക്ഷാത്കരിക്കുന്നതിനായി ലോകത്തിന്റെവിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളിലുള്ള നമ്മുടെ പ്രിയ അലുമ്നി അംഗങ്ങളുടെ സഹകരണം വിനീതമായി അഭ്യർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു. നമ്മൾ നൽകുന്ന ഓരോ സംഭാവനയും ഭാവിയിലെ നഴ്സിംഗ് വിദ്യാർഥികളുടെ പഠനത്തിനും പരിശീലനത്തിനും വലിയ കരുത്ത് ആയിരിക്കും.

ഈ ആവശ്യത്തിനായി പ്രത്യേക ബാങ്ക് അക്കൗണ്ട് ആരംഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. നിങ്ങളാൽ ആവുന്നവിധം നൽകുന്ന ഏത് സംഭാവനയും ഈ സംരംഭത്തിന്റെ വിജയത്തിന് വിലപ്പെട്ടതാണ്.

സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെ കറകൾ പടർത്തി 'കറ' മാഗസിൻ പ്രകാശനം ചെയ്തു.

​യുദ്ധത്തിന്റെയും വിദ്വേഷത്തിന്റെയും കറകൾക്ക് പകരം മനുഷ്യ മനസ്സുകളിൽ സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെ കറകൾ നിറയ്ക്കാനുള്ള അക്ഷരശ്രമവുമായി യുഗ കോളേജ് യൂണിയന്റെ 2025-26 വർഷത്തെ കോളേജ് മാഗസിൻ 'കറ' പ്രകാശനം ചെയ്തു. 2026 ജൂലൈ 9-ാം തീയതി നടന്ന ചടങ്ങിൽ പ്രശസ്ത എഴുത്തുകാരനും വാഗ്മിയുമായ ജോസഫ് അന്നംകുട്ടി ജോസ് മുഖ്യാതിഥിയായി പങ്കെടുത്ത്, മാഗസിന്റെ പ്രകാശനം നിർവ്വഹിച്ചു.
