USTM Confers the Visionary Patriotism Award on Dr. Rakesh Bakshi

We are honoured to confer the Visionary Patriotism Award on Dr. Rakesh Bakshi, Founder of the DK Flag Foundation, Mumbai, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to promoting nationalism, patriotism and respect for the National Tricolour across India.

Popularly known as the “Flag Man of India,” Dr. Bakshi has inspired countless citizens, especially the younger generation, to uphold the values of unity, national pride and devotion to the nation.

Founded by Dr. Bakshi, the DK Flag Foundation is a non-profit initiative dedicated to promoting respect for the Indian National Flag and creating awareness about the Flag Code of India.

The vibrant and disciplined performance by the St. Francis De Sales School Girls Band added colour, energy and patriotic spirit to the historic installation of the monumental 150-ft National Tricolour at USTM.

Their exceptional display captivated the audience and beautifully reflected the values of dedication, teamwork and love for the nation.

In recognition of their outstanding performance, the band was awarded a cash prize of ₹50,000.

Congratulations to the talented young performers for making the celebration even more memorable and inspiring. 🇮🇳👏
