Date 24th October 2017
A conflict arises between some south Indian students and north Indian students at Aligarh Muslim University Malappuram Center Kerala SS hall block 1(boys hostel) later the north Indian student informed university Proctor about the incident and south Indian student were found with illegal weapons in their rooms like iron rods, knives etc by proctor, the same night . Director asked for a compromised between the students while stating the we, the north Indian students, are guest here and we should behave like one.
Incident 2
29 October 2017
One of the north Indian student Abdul Mateen decided to leave the campus as he was being threatened by some south Indian students. While leaving the campus there were around 15-20 south Indian localities at university gate to beat him up but some how Abdul Mateen and his fellow mates manage to escape and he left for his home at Aligarh UP.
Incident 3
30 October 2017
As the higher authorities are occupied by south Indians our honourable Director Sir found 3 north Indian and 5 south Indian students guilty of committing acts of indiscipline and misconduct as per AMU Students Conduct and Discipline Rules, 1985.(The photo of notice attached with the post)
The decision was biased as the south Indian students who were found with weapons were charged with same punishment as they north Indian students who were being harassed and threatened by them.
Incident 4
3 November 2017
Abdul Mateen requested Respected vice chancellor sir to change his center because of inevitable death threats at Aligarh Muslim University Malappuram Center( application attached in photos).
He also met with Honorable director sir of Malappuram Center who was there in Aligarh for some official purpose. The chief authority of Malappuram center the director sir assured him that no one can lay a single hand on him or any north Indian students while he is the incharge of so called safest and developed AMU's center.
Incident 5
7 November 2017
One of the north Indian student Nadeem Chaudhary who was involved in the conflict mentioned in incident 1 went to local market Perithalmanna to buy some daily need stuff where he was brutally beaten up, mentally assaulted, harassed, mentally tortured, blackmailed by 15-20 south Indian peoples(who were having a photo of Nadeem and the information of Nadeem leaving the campus, which was clearly sent to them by someone from the campcampus). Those 15-20 people are not enrolled in AMU but can be easily found in Aligarh Muslim University Malappuram Center without taking any prior permission from highly structured, well managed administration controlled by unbiased and respectable higher authorities.
Fortunately the incident that happened with Nadeem Chaudhary was captured and recorded in a local restaurant's cctv camera. The culprits can be easily traced with the help of footage and local police.
The north Indian students informed the administration about the incident but when they do not get any assurance of enquiry, they went to police station and lodged a FIR (photos attatched).
The students are on strike from the same night and still getting no response from administration. We are getting threatened by director on the name of police.
We are also not getting any response from main centre administration.
We have 3 well justified demands :-
1) Termination of our highly respectable proctor.
2) 100% safety assurance of all the students
3) Arresting of the culprits (15 people)
As the students should be treated as students there should not be any regionalism and rationalism. And this surely is a case of regionalism.
We, the students of AMU Malappuram center appeals to all the higher authorities of AMU main center, the honourable director sir of AMU MC, for a strict and fair action as soon as possible and protect us from future mishappenings. We are your innocent children who are living faraway deprived from your love and safety assurances.
We need you.
Please help us.
