Meet Dr. Sajan Daniel George, a leading mind in the world of photonics and nanosciences. With a Ph.D. in Photonics from CUSAT, Kochi, he has been shaping the field through cutting-edge research and mentorship. As the Coordinator of the Center for Applied Nanosciences (CAN) and the Dr. T M A Pai Endowment Chair in Applied Nanosciences, his work delves into the usage of light at the nanoscale that drives big innovations.

His research extends globally, with previous roles as a scientist in Germany and Belgium before joining Manipal. At present, he leads government-funded projects, mentors Ph.D. and M.Sc. scholars, and chairs the Doctoral Advisory Committee & Board of Studies at the Manipal Institute of Applied Physics, Manipal. He is an elected fellow of the Institute of Physics (UK), Royal Society of Chemistry (UK), and Indian Chemical Society.
