Young entrepreneur RANJEET SINGH, alumnus of HITM shortlisted among top 5 finalists for the COURTYARD MARRIOTT’S YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR CHALLENGE (powered by The Economic Times):-
It’s a matter of great pride and honor that a young entrepreneur and alumnus of Hindustan Institute of Technology & Management, Mr. RANJEET SINGH has been shortlisted among the top 5 finalists for the COURTYARD MARRIOTT’S YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR CHALLENGE (powered by the Economic Times).
Courtyard by Marriott’s innovative campaign, The Elevator Pitch in which more than 1000 submissions of young entrepreneurs were made, only 5 out of those business ideas managed to shine through. The top 5 finalists will now present their business idea in 60 seconds elevator pitch to the panel of judges. The panel of judges for this contest includes some big names including:
1. Mr.Pratul Gupta (Vice President, AVIGO CAPITAL)
2. Mr.Rajeev Menon (Area Vice President, South Asia, MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL)
3. Mr.Pallav Nadhani (Co-Founder & CEO, FusionCharts)
Courtyard by Marriott’s, the Elevator Pitch is being organized in four phases which are as follows:
Phase: 1- Proposal submission (till 28th Sep, 2014)
Phase: 2- Short listing of 5 finalists (16-17 Oct, 2014)
Phase: 3-Public Prediction/voting online (5-18 Nov, 2014)
Phase: 4- Announcement of winner (25 Nov, 2014)
Mr.Ranjeet Singh is among the top five shortlisted finalists and his business idea is “DIVYA: POWER NOW AT HOME” (A gravitational energy-based lighting and charging system for rural areas where electricity does not reach. The system operates without electricity, fuel, batteries or solar panels. It can be used again and again, anytime and anywhere.)
Now, the contest is in Phase 3rd where Public Prediction and Online Voting will help contestant to win this contest. Each finalists’ Elevator Pitch presentation had been recorded and uploaded on www.courtyard-elevatorpitch.com, for the public to predict the winner.
