THE IDEA CARNIVAL 2026
The Entrepreneurship & Startup Support Cell (ESSC), under the Centre for Career Success, Rayat Bahra University, successfully organized “The Idea Carnival 2026” on 11th May 2026 in collaboration with Startup Punjab under the esteemed leadership of Chancellor Sardar Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Vice Chancellor Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Pro VC Prof. Dr. Satish Kumar, and the guidance of Dr. Simmi Prakash, Group Director – ESSC.
The event served as a dynamic platform celebrating innovation, entrepreneurship, and student creativity, bringing together industry experts, innovators, faculty members, and budding entrepreneurs from RBU, RBPU, RBIS, and Rayat Bahra Sr. Sec. School.
The programme was graced by Mr. Deepinder Dhillon, Joint Director, IT Industry Promotion, Startup Punjab Cell, Govt. of Punjab, Mr.Arvind Dhingra Executive Director STEP, GNDEC Ludhiana, along with other industry and incubator experts who inspired students with their valuable insights on startups, innovation, and the future entrepreneurial ecosystem.
One of the major highlights of the event was “RBU’s Mega Business Idea Competition” and Idea Pitching Sessions, where students showcased innovative startup ideas and practical solutions to real-world challenges.
Another proud moment of the event was the inauguration of the new Entrepreneurship Textbook for Senior Secondary Students, authored by Dr. Simmi Prakash, aimed at promoting entrepreneurial thinking and startup awareness through case-based examples and experiential learning.
🎖️The event concluded with prize distribution, certificate felicitation, and recognition of outstanding stalls and innovative ideas.
The Idea Carnival 2026 successfully strengthened the vision of building a robust entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem among young minds and reflected ESSC’s commitment towards nurturing future entrepreneurs and changemakers.
