SK Somaiya College's Media Club (SMAC,VIEWFINDER and VIEWPOINT) Media Clubs of SK Somaiya College As Albert Einstein puts it, " Imagination is greater than knowledge."

A year back we too imagined a Media Club that would bring three largest Medium of Media under one big umbrella that is Cinema, Newspaper and Photography. This gave Birth to
SMAC, VIEWPOINT & VIEWFINDER.

1) SMAC – Somaiya Movie Appreciation Club (SMAC) is a platform where outstanding creations of artistic global cinema and of different genres are screened in the presence of the students. To bring

them closer to cinema, eminent personalities from the industry are invited to share their experience and knowledge and create a better understanding of the cinema within the students. The primary aim of the SMAC reads "Here we bring you the best of the movies from around the globe, which are scrutinized to make sure students learn all the aspects of film making.”

2) Viewfinder – ‘Viewfinder’ is the photography club of the college, Viewfinder encourages the photographic talent in our students. To promote this talent on a continuous basis, weekly competitions based on one theme per week are conducted every week. It's very purpose is to create an opportunity for aspiring photographers to showcase their talent to a larger audience.

3) Viewpoint – Keeping in mind, the creative writing aspects of media, students are given freedom to write on a range of topics for the college tabloid which releases its issue every fortnight. It is a deliberate effort to mould and refine students’ ability to write and report in the industry.

4) Five Minutes To Fame – Five Minutes To Fame is the recent inclusion in the Somaiya Media Clubs, wherein budding film-makers are given an opportunity to express their creativity through various aspects of cinema and compile their creativity within the given framework of time to be judged on acute precision and ability to convince and influence.

Exam is a 2009 British psychological thriller film written by Simon Garrity and Stuart Hazeldine, directed by Hazeldine, and starring Colin Salmon, Chris Carey, Jimi Mistry, Luke Mably, Gemma Chan, Chuk Iwuji, John Lloyd Fillingham, Pollyanna McIntosh, Adar Beck and Nathalie Cox.
The final eight candidates for a highly desirable corporate job are locked together in an exam room and given a test with one question. The whole movie is being shot in only one room.
