On 22nd April, 2026, IHM Mumbai faculty, Mr. Vivekanand Jha conducted “Back to Basics” training session for The Food & Beverage Service Employees at The Hilton Mumbai International Airport.
The workshop was conducted to reinforce fundamental service skills and operational standards among the participants.
The session focused on revisiting core concepts such as service etiquette, table setting, sequence of service, guest interaction, mastering guest handling, handling complaints & turning challenges into opportunities and hygiene practices.
Emphasis was placed on the importance of consistency, attention to detail, and professionalism in delivering quality service. Participants were guided through standard operating procedures and best practices followed in the hospitality industry.
The session also included practical demonstrations and interactive activities, enabling the participants to apply their knowledge and refine their skills. Overall, the training aimed to strengthen the foundation of F&B service, ensuring the participants are well-prepared to meet industry expectations with confidence and competence.
The session received an overwhelmingly positive response, with many highlighting its practical, real-world perspective on refining the art of hospitality.
