In a short span of six years, the school has made significant inroads in the sphere of pharmaceutical education and research. FICCI has recently published a document titled “Higher Education in India: Twelfth Five Year Plan (2012 -2017) and beyond” which was provided during higher education summit held in New Delhi wherein present status and challenges ahead in higher education in India have been discussed along with action plan for future. Our hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr Rajan Saxena, played a significant role in the conference and bringing out the document. We are happy to note that most of the things are already implemented at our School and our University indicating that the vision and mission of our School and University is very much in line with that of MHRD, GOI for higher education in the country and we are forging ahead of many others in the area. In the past two days, TOI has published a news that Disaster management will soon be an optional paper as part of the curriculam for all undergraduate (UG) courses at universities and affiliated colleges recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and that the disaster management course is expected to create a basis to work towards preparedness and also help develop a culture of safety and prevention. Our school has already included Disaster Management at UG level since last two years. It shows how involved we are, with the societal growth through education!
