The session was conducted by experts from HDFC Mutual Fund, who explained the basics of mutual funds, investment options, risks, returns, and financial planning. The Department of Computer Applications, MIT First Grade College, Mysore, successfully organized an Android Application Development Certification Course for 30 Second Year and Final Year BCA students from 31st August 2026 to 5th September 2026, between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM, at Lab 2, MIT First Grade College, Mysore.

The certification course was conducted by Mr. Chethan V and Mr. Akash from Code Cradle Solutions, who served as the trainers and provided students with valuable practical guidance and hands-on exposure to Android application development.

The course significantly contributed to enhancing the students’ technical knowledge, programming skills, and practical competencies in Android application development, thereby preparing them for further academic and professional opportunities in the field of mobile application development.

Rashtriya Krida Divas Celebration 2026

The Department of Physical Education and Sports,in association with IQAC, MIT First Grade College (MIT FGC), celebrated Rashtriya Krida Divas (National Sports Day) on 29th August 2026 at LH-2, MIT FGC, with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and faculty members. The day is observed every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, the legendary Indian hockey player, and to recognize his invaluable contribution to Indian sports.

The celebration was organized with the objective of creating awareness among students about the importance of sports and physical fitness and encouraging them to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle. It also aimed to promote values such as discipline, teamwork, leadership, perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication among students. The programme highlighted the significant role of sports and physical activities in maintaining physical and mental well-being, building confidence, and contributing to the overall personality development of students.

The programme was graced by Dr. Nanda, In-charge Principal, along with Ms. Reena Sateesh, Sports Secretary, and Mr. Prathap S.A, Member Secretary. The event was also attended by the committee members Mr. Manohar N., Mr. Abhinandan, Ms. Suchithra N., and Mr. Dinakar G. B. The presence of Mr. Hirish, Volunteer, Nehru Yuva Kendra, and Mr. Arun, My Bharat Portal, added further significance to the celebration.

The Cultural Committee, in collaboration with the Rangayana Trust, successfully staged the Kannada theatrical production “Kittale Bannada Koodalu” at Kiru Rangamandira. Performed entirely by a student cast and crew, the play focused on the complexities of rural life, human relationships, and pressing social themes.
The auditorium witnessed a full house, including institutional leadership, faculty members, and fellow students.
