INAUGURAL CEREMONY | INDUCTION PROGRAMME

JSS College of Nursing, Mysuru, proudly inaugurates its Induction Programme of BSc 30th Batch, 25th batch of PBBSc and 22nd Batch of MSc Nursing, welcoming the new batch of aspiring nursing professionals into the JSS family and marking the beginning of their journey towards academic excellence, professional competence, and compassionate patient care.

The ceremony was presided over by Sri Mahesh R., Director, Medical Education Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha.

Chief Guest: Dr. Kathyayini, Principal, NIMHANS, Bengaluru. who welcomed the new students and inspired them to uphold the values of nursing, professional ethics, and service to humanity.

Regional Workshop on Psychiatric Assessment with Standardized Patient
The Department of Psychiatric Nursing, JSS College of Nursing, Mysuru, organized a Regional Workshop on “An Overview: Psychiatric Assessment with Standardized Patient” on 28 October 2026 at the Seminar Hall, JSS College of Speech and Hearing, Mysuru.
The workshop was inaugurated by the dignitaries. Dr. Purohit Saraswathi, Head of the Department of Psychiatric Nursing, delivered the keynote address, followed by an address by the Chief Guest, Dr. Kishor M, Professor and Head, Department of Psychiatry, JSS Medical College and Hospital, JSS AHER. The presidential address was delivered by Prof. Aswathy Devi M.K., Principal, JSS College of Nursing.
The workshop focused on providing an overview of psychiatric assessment using standardized patients to enhance learning and understanding of psychiatric assessment practices. The programme concluded successfully with the completion of the inaugural ceremony.

Annual Cultural and Literary Meet – Dio-Fest
JSS College of Nursing, Mysuru

JSS College of Nursing, Mysuru,SNA Student Nurses Association organised its Annual Cultural and Literary Meet, “SAMBHRAMA 2026 – Dio-Fest,” on Friday, 16 October 2026, at 4:30 PM at JSS Urban Haat, Mysuru. The programme was held with the divine blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, celebrating culture, talent, creativity, and togetherness among students.

The programme was presided over by Sri R. Mahesh, Director, Medical Education Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha. Mr. Ruthvik C. Raj, playback singer and runner-up of Ede Thumbi Haaduvenu, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

SAMBHRAMA 2026 provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their artistic abilities, creativity, and cultural talents. The annual meet brought together students and faculty members in an atmosphere of enthusiasm, joy, and camaraderie. The celebration highlighted the importance of extracurricular activities in fostering confidence, teamwork, leadership, and the holistic development of nursing students.
