Mayapur Academy

Mayapur Academy Mayapur Academy is a joint educational initiative of the Mayapur Deity Department and ISKCON Deity Worship Ministry.

Our goal is to train brahmanas that are capable of fulfilling the needs of ISKCON communities. Mayapur Academy curriculum was developed and managed by ISKCON Deity Worship Ministry to fulfill Śrīla Prabhupāda’s desire for the development of deity worship and brahminical culture in ISKCON. It is a joint educational initiative of the ISKCON Mayapur Deity Department and ISKCON Deity Worship Ministry.

Its prime function is to train devotees who aspire to take the role of brāhmaṇas and temple pūjārīs who are capable of fulfilling the needs of ISKCON communities.

We recently concluded Deity Jewellery Making course for Bangla batch at Mayapur Academy, facilitated by Her Grace Hari Ballabhi Devi Dasi.
In one week on-site course, students learned to make necklace, mala, bracelets, armlets, waist belt and ear rings for the big deities.

In this course, we will explore the significance of saṁskāras in Gaudiya Vaiṣṇavism, with special emphasis on Śrīla Prabhupāda’s instructions regarding the necessity of garbhādhāna-saṁskāra.

Drawing from the wisdom of the śāstras, insights from Ayurveda, contemporary scientific understanding, and practical experience, this course offers a thoughtful and systematic framework for understanding conscious conception and spiritual responsibility in service to Śrī Kṛṣṇa. Alongside a strong philosophical foundation, it also provides practical guidance to help participants approach this subject with greater awareness, readiness, and care.

Designed not only for prospective parents, but also for anyone seeking deeper clarity—including educators, leaders, and practitioners who guide others—this course aims to equip participants with both deep understanding and practical insight to uphold and share these essential principles within the Vaiṣṇava community.
