World Tuberculosis Day was observed on March 24, 2026, with the aim of raising awareness about Tuberculosis (TB), its prevention, and treatment. On this occasion, a special lecture was delivered by Dr. Rajamaheshwari, focusing on Siddha approaches to TB management, particularly the use of single herbs and herbo-mineral preparations.

The program commenced with an introductory session highlighting the global burden of tuberculosis and emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and effective treatment.

In her lecture, Dr. Rajamaheshwari explained the Siddha perspective of tuberculosis, correlating it with Kasa Noi. She elaborated on the role of Siddha medicines, especially single herbal formulations, in enhancing immunity, improving respiratory function, and reducing disease progression.

Furthermore, she provided detailed insights into herbo-mineral preparations, particularly Singi Chendhooram, highlighting their preparation methods and therapeutic efficacy based on in vitro studies. She also stressed that adherence to traditional preparation techniques is essential to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Overall, the program was highly informative and contributed significantly to creating awareness about tuberculosis and highlighting the role of Siddha medicine in its management.
