Review Article by Mahavir Institute of Pharmacy Published in International Journal

Mahavir Institute of Pharmacy has earned recognition in the field of pharmaceutical research as final-year student Raksha Jadhav, along with faculty member Prof. Priyanka Thore and Principal Dr. Anil Jadhav, successfully published a review article titled “Ash Gourd in Modern Drug Delivery: Exploring Novel Formulations and its Applications” in the prestigious International Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Vol. 4, Issue 4, 2026).

The review article highlights the medicinal and therapeutic importance of Benincasa hispida (Ash Gourd), popularly known as “Kushmanda” in Ayurveda. The publication discusses the plant’s anti-inflammatory, antioxidative, and detoxifying properties along with its rich mineral content including calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, and selenium. The article also reviews the traditional medicinal use of ash gourd in managing diabetes, liver disorders, urinary infections, chronic inflammation, and neurological conditions, while exploring its potential applications in modern pharmaceutical drug-delivery systems.

The management of Shri Mahavir Education Society congratulated Raksha Jadhav and the research team for this academic achievement. Director Dr. Priyanka Zawar appreciated their efforts and stated that such research publications reflect the institute’s commitment toward innovation, scientific excellence, and quality pharmaceutical education. “Industries Need Skilled Students, Not Just Degrees” – Dr. Priyanka Zawar
Facilitation Center Inaugurated at Mahavir Polytechnic

“Today, industries are not looking only for degree holders but for skilled students. In this rapidly changing technological era, skill-based education is giving a new direction to students’ careers. There is a strong need for facility centers that can provide proper guidance and opportunities to students after Class 10 and 12,” said Dr. Priyanka Zawar, Director of Shree Mahavir Education Society, during the inauguration ceremony of the newly established Facilitation Center at Mahavir Polytechnic.

The event was attended by Dr. Sambhaji Sagare, Principal of Mahavir Polytechnic; Dr. Mohammad Ali, Principal of Sanghavi College of Engineering; Dr. Anil Jadhav, Principal of Mahavir Institute of Pharmacy; along with department heads and faculty members including Prof. Sanjay Bhamare, Prof. Mayur Gaidhani, Prof. Santosh Wable, Prof. Anup Sonawane, Prof. Satish Deore, Prof. Snehal Pagare, Prof. Gauri Sonawane, and Prof. Yogesh Ahire.

Dr. Priyanka Zawar further stated that today’s students are studying in an era of global competition. Along with traditional education, technical education that develops practical skills is making students more employable. She emphasized that understanding the needs of industries and opting for technical education at an early stage can open several new career opportunities for students. She added that the Facilitation Center at Mahavir Polytechnic would not only guide students regarding admissions but would also serve as an effective platform to shape their future careers.

In view of the upcoming online admission schedule for the First-Year Diploma courses, which will soon be announced by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mahavir Polytechnic has recently started a Facilitation Center to assist students with online admission form filling, document verification, and providing information regarding First-Year and Direct Second-Year Diploma courses. The center was inaugurated by Dr. Priyanka Zawar.

Mahavir Polytechnic, located on Mhasrul–Varvandi Road, Nashik, has been designated as an official “Facilitation Center” for CAP admissions. This facility has been introduced considering the convenience of students and parents from Nashik, Panchavati, Meri, Mhasrul, RTO, and Dindori areas, making the admission process more accessible to them.

Principal Dr. Sambhaji Sagare stated that since Diploma admissions do not require any CET examination, students are showing increased interest toward Diploma education this year. He added that skill-oriented Diploma courses are becoming more popular among students, resulting in higher inquiries for admissions.

The administration has appealed to parents and students to take advantage of this center. The center provides 24-hour information and guidance support. Students and parents can contact the center at 7588133253 or 9423361398. The college and students are also expected to follow all instructions and guidelines issued by the Government of Maharashtra from time to time.

"आज उद्योगजगताला केवळ पदवी नव्हे तर कौशल्यपूर्ण विद्यार्थी हवे आहेत, "बदलत्या तंत्रज्ञानाच्या युगात स्किल बेस एज्युकेशन" विद्यार्थ्यांच्या करिअरला नवी दिशा देत आहे. दहावी, बारावी झालेल्या विद्यार्थ्यांना योग्य मार्गदर्शन आणि संधी सहज उपलब्ध होण्यासाठी सुविधा केंद्रांची नितांत गरज आहे.” असे प्रतिपादन श्री महावीर एज्युकेशन सोसायटीच्या संचालिका डॉ. प्रियंका झंवर यांनी नुकत्याच पार पडलेल्या सुविधाकेंद्राच्या उदघाटन प्रसंगी केले. यावेळी महावीर पॉलिटेक्निकचे प्राचार्य डॉ. संभाजी सगरे, संघवी कॉलेज ऑफ इंजिनिअरिंगचे प्राचार्य डॉ. मोहम्मद अली, महावीर इन्स्टिट्यूट ऑफ फार्मसीचे प्राचार्य डॉ. अनिल जाधव, विभागप्रमुख प्रा. संजय भामरे, प्रा. मयूर गायधनी, प्रा. संतोष वाबळे, प्रा. अनुप सोनावणे, प्रा. सतीश देवरे, प्रा.स्नेहल पगारे, प्रा.गौरी सोनावणे, प्रा. योगेश अहिरे आदी उपस्थित होते.

त्या पुढे म्हणाल्या, “आजचा विद्यार्थी जागतिक स्पर्धेच्या युगात शिक्षण घेत आहे. पारंपरिक शिक्षणाबरोबरच प्रत्यक्ष कौशल्य विकसित करणारे तांत्रिक शिक्षण विद्यार्थ्यांना रोजगारक्षम बनवत आहे. उद्योगजगताच्या गरजा ओळखून लवकर वयात तांत्रिक शिक्षण घेतल्यास विद्यार्थ्यांना करिअरच्या अनेक नव्या संधी उपलब्ध होऊ शकतात. महावीर पॉलिटेक्निकचे सुविधा केंद्र हे विद्यार्थ्यांना केवळ प्रवेश मार्गदर्शनच नव्हे तर त्यांच्या भविष्यासाठी योग्य दिशा देणारे प्रभावी व्यासपीठ ठरेल.” राज्यातील प्रथमवर्ष डिप्लोमा अभ्यासक्रमाच्या ऑनलाईन प्रवेश प्रक्रियेचे वेळापत्रक लवकरच तंत्रशिक्षण संचालनालय, महाराष्ट्र राज्य यांचेकडून जाहीर होणार आहे या पाश्वभूमीवर, डिप्लोमा प्रवेशासाठी महाविद्यालयात सुविधा केंद्राच्या माध्यमातून ऑनलाईन प्रवेशअर्ज भरण्यासाठी, कागदपत्र पडताळणी करण्यासाठी तसेच प्रथम आणि थेट व्दितीय वर्ष डिप्लोमा अभ्यासक्रमाची माहिती देण्यासाठी सुविधा केंद्र महावीर पॉलिटेक्निकमध्ये नुकतेच सुरु करण्यात आले. सदर माहितीकेंद्राचे उदघाटन श्री महावीर एज्युकेशन सोसायटीच्या संचालिका डॉ. प्रियंका झंवर यांनी केले.

शासकीय आदेशान्वये ‘कॅप’ प्रवेशासाठी म्हसरूळ - वरवंडी रोडवरील महावीर पॉलिटेक्निक,नाशिक हे 'सुविधा केंद्र' म्हणून निर्गमित करण्यात आलेले असून नाशिक तसेच पंचवटी, मेरी, म्हसरूळ, आरटीओ, दिंडोरी परिसरातील विद्यार्थी व पालकांना जवळ पडेल आणि अर्ज भरण्याची सोय होईल या दृष्टीने महावीर पॉलिटेक्निकला सदर सोय देण्यात आली आहे. डिप्लोमा प्रवेशाला कुठल्याही सीईटीची आवश्यकता नसल्याने 'विद्यार्थ्यांचा यंदा कल हा डिप्लोमाकडे अधिक आहे, कौशल्याधारित डिप्लोमा अभ्यासक्रमाला विद्यार्थ्यांची पसंती वाढल्याने त्यामळे अधिक विचारणा होत आहे असे महाविद्यालयाचे प्राचार्य डॉ.संभाजी सगरे यावेळी म्हणाले, प्रवेशासंदर्भात पालकांनी या केंद्राचा लाभ घ्यावा असे आवाहन प्रशासनाकडून करण्यात आले आहे. या केंद्रात सर्व माहिती आणि मार्गदर्शन 24 तास देण्याची सोय उपलब्ध असून विद्यार्थी पालकांनी 7588133253 अथवा 9423361398 या क्रमांकावर संपर्क साधावा. महाराष्ट्र शासनाकडून वेळोवेळी प्रसिद्ध झालेल्या व निर्गमित केलेल्या सूचनांचे महाविद्यालयाने तसेच विद्यार्थ्यांनीही पालन करावयाचे आहे.

Shree Mahavir Education Society’s, Mahavir Institute of Pharmacy has achieved a proud academic milestone as final-year student Joel Alexander successfully published a review article in the reputed World Journal of Biology Pharmacy and Health Sciences. The achievement highlights the institute’s growing research culture and commitment to academic excellence.

The paper titled “A Comparative Pharmacological Review of Phaleria macrocarpa and Boswellia serrata as Potential Therapeutics for Inflammatory Bowel Disease” was co-authored by Joel Alexander along with faculty members Prof. Anagha Sarvadnya and Principal Dr. Anil Jadhav. The study presents a comprehensive scientific analysis of the pharmacological potential of these medicinal plants in the management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), emphasizing their anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties.

Founder Chairman Mr. Harish Sanghavi Honored with “Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar”

Shree Mahavir Education Society proudly announces that its Founder Chairman Mr. Harishbhai Laxmichand Sanghavi has been honored with the prestigious “Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar” (Lifetime Achievement Award) by Morbi Dasha Shrimali Mitra Mandal on 26 April 2026 in Mumbai.
