Dhritiman Mukherjee, one of India’s most accomplished Nature and Wildlife Photographers, visited NAU and interacted with students. Through his breathtaking visual stories, he inspired young minds to pursue careers driven by passion, purpose, and a deep commitment to conservation.

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor felicitated him with a commemorative plaque, acknowledging his remarkable life journey and his outstanding contribution to wildlife photography and environmental awareness. His visit left a lasting impression, motivating students to strive towards making the planet a better place for all species.

Shri Paresh Desai, President, District Panchayat, Navsari inaugurated the Photography Exhibition. The exhibition displays photographs of students of Nature & Wildlife Photography and invieted Photographer Mr. Dhritiman Mukherjee.

Shri Paresh Desai interacted with the students and shared his view on various activities of College of Forestry.

The exhibition will remain open for the general public from 6 to 8 Feb 2026.

On 28 January 2026, Fifth Semester B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry students visited the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS), Mumbai, as part of their academic exposure. The visit offered valuable insights into wildlife research, conservation practices, and biodiversity documentation. Students interacted with experts and explored BNHS facilities, gaining inspiration and practical understanding of conservation science.

Congratulations to our contingent at the VII Botany Feast, jointly organised by The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and the Gujarat Forest Department, held from 16–18 January 2026 at POLO Forest, Gujarat.

The College of Forestry team emerged as the overall winner and also secured individual victories in three events: Panchendriya Pariksha, Phytohunt, and Jungle Ka Khana Khazana.

College of Forestry Alumnus Joins ISRO as Scientist ‘C"

Manojkumar S., an alumnus of the College of Forestry, has recently been recruited by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) as Scientist ‘C’ in the discipline of Forestry and Ecology.

Manojkumar joined the College of Forestry under the ICAR Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for his Master’s degree programme in Silviculture and Agroforestry during the academic year 2019–20 and successfully completed his Master’s degree in 2020–21 under the guidance of Dr Laxmikant Behra.

Earlier, he secured All India Rank–1 in the ICAR-Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) examination and subsequently joined Kerala Agricultural University to pursue his doctoral programme.
