Assam is going through a period of devastation due to the floods, and the COVID crisis has made it worse. The quiz societies Delhi University and of Assam have decided to collaborate with "XAHOX", a student organisation who have come up to help the affected communities of Assam, and do our bit by doing a set of *Fundraiser Quizzes*.

We have 3 quizzes lined up for this:
24th July- M.E.L.A (Music, Entertainment, Literature and Art)
25th July- India
26th July- General

Less than 12 hours before we begin our Annual Quiz Festival, we remember our erudite Ms. Rachita Dasgupta.

Rachita Dasgupta was born in 1973. A resident of Jamshedpur, she graduated from Miranda House with an Honours in Chemistry in 1995. She was beloved by many and was always cheerful and full of enthusiasm to learn something new. She had an inherent quality of always questioning the status quo.

She was an avid quizzer and debater which led to her active association with The Quiz Society, Miranda House. She was an ideal daughter to her parents, a role model for her brother and a genuine friend to everyone else. She was travelling to do her Masters in Chemistry when she perished in the deadly Purushottam Train accident tragedy on 20th August, 1995. Her indelible spirit continues to encourage us to learn more and be better humans everyday.

So, join us tomorrow to celebrate the art of learning. Join us to witness the brilliance of the human mind. Join us to experience the infinite beauty in every bit and piece of your life coming together to help you uncover things you've never known. Join us with all of your life stories and adventures, from the tales your grandma spun to the strangest internet searches that have calmed your curious mind to see if that's enough to answer our questions.

Most importantly, join us tomorrow to celebrate the life of the late Ms. Rachita Dasgupta. We'll see you at 11:00am.
