International Centre For Biomonitoring & Ecotoxicology (ICBE) is located at Panchkula, Haryana. Our mission is to conduct research and translate findings, reports from that research into resources, policies, and programs that create healthier and more empowered communities by reducing the health disparities. All ICBE work is conducted in partnership with the people living in different communities and stratum.

Ecotoxicology study of impacts of pollutants on the structure and function of ecosystems, manmade poisonous chemicals and their effect on the environment. Environmental toxicology is a new discipline that grew out of studies on the environmental fate and transport of pesticides in the 1940s and 1950s.

Biomonitoring is a scientific technique for measuring the presence of chemicals in a person, by sampling and analyzing their tissues and fluids. Biomonitoring techniques are used to assess a person's body burden, which is the amount of toxic chemicals stored in the body at a given time.
