Transforming patient access is about more than bringing a therapy to market- it's about ensuring the right patients can actually benefit from it.

This week, IIM Sirmaur hosted Batch-2 of its pioneering 5-day Masterclass on Market Access, HEOR, Pricing, and Policy in the Pharmaceutical Industry (16–20 June 2026). Designed as one of India's first dedicated programmes in this space, the masterclass brings together 25 experienced healthcare professionals to explore how clinical value, economic evidence, policy, and pricing come together to improve patient outcomes.

Led by Dr. Kiran Kumar Paidipati and Dr. Sanja Samirana Pattnayak from the Centre for Healthcare Management and Innovation, and enriched by the expertise of industry leaders including Mr. Ashis Mukherjee, Mr. Mahendra Rai, Mr. Venkat Subramanian Natrajan, and Mr. Prabhat Sinha, the programme creates a meaningful bridge between academic insight and industry practice.

By fostering collaboration, innovation, and evidence-based decision-making, IIM Sirmaur continues to contribute to a healthcare ecosystem where better access leads to better lives.

We are delighted to share that Dr. Santosh Gedam’s co-authored research paper titled "Conflicts in Forest Commoning: A Case Study of Indigenous Communities’ Struggle Against Decommoning Efforts in India’s Gadchiroli District" has been accepted for publication in the International Journal of the Commons, a prestigious Scopus Q1-ranked journal.

The study examined the complex and evolving dynamics surrounding property rights in the forest sector in India, contributing meaningful insights and valuable perspectives to the global discourse on resource governance and environmental policy.

As IIM Sirmaur marks nearly a decade of its journey, the institute continues to strengthen its position through academic excellence, a 210-acre permanent campus, global partnerships with institutions in France and Germany, impactful research, and a consistent record of 100% placements.

In an interaction with The Tribune, Director Dr. Prafulla Agnihotri outlined a clear vision for the future positioning IIM Sirmaur among India's Top 15 B-Schools within the next five years and among the Top 5 IIMs in the decade ahead. Backed by international collaborations with institutions such as Sainte Marie De Chavagnes, the University of Bordeaux, the University of Paris, RWTH Aachen University, and membership in the International Tourism Studies Association (ITSA), the institute continues to expand its global footprint.
