A moment of pride and celebration !!!
We are thrilled to announce that Hiyasmita Das, a student of Bhattadev University, has bagged the Third Prize in Western Instrumental Solo in the 39th Inter University National Youth Festival organised by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) held at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai. She was accompanied by Dibyajyoti Talukdar and Kapil Madahi.
Hiyasmita secured first position in the AIU's Northeast Zone Youth Festival held at Assam Don Bosco University.

The NSS Cell of Bhattadev University successfully concluded a 7-day NSS Special Camp at Batiamari village from Feb 26 to March 4, 2026 with various community outreach activities including cleanliness drives, health awareness programmes, skill development sessions, plantation, and environmental awareness initiatives. Bhattadev University celebrated National Science Day, followed by a Science Quiz Competition, today. The programme was graced by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dhanapati Deka, who, in his inaugural address, encouraged students to develop scientific temper, curiosity, and rational thinking to meet contemporary challenges.
In the quiz competition, the first prize was won by the Bhattadev University team comprising Sri Krishanu Kashyap Vishwapati and Bhargab Bhushan Vishwapati. Jyotirmoy Das and Kishan Jyoti Kalita secured the second prize, while Khanjan Choudhury and Biswajit Talukdar won the third prize. The quiz competition was conducted by Dr. Chandrajit Dohutia, Drug Inspector, Barpeta.

Bhattadev University successfully hosted a two-day National Seminar on “Advancements of Bioscience Research for A Sustainable Future (ABRSF-2026)”. The programme was organised by the Institutional Biotech Hub, Bhattadev University, in collaboration with IQAC, and was sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.

The seminar was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dhanapati Deka. The inaugural session was also honoured by the gracious presence of Prof. Manabendra Dutta Choudhury, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, Hojai.
On the first day, the keynote lecture on interdisciplinary bioscience research for a sustainable future was delivered by Prof. Arnab Sen of the University of North Bengal. Invited lectures were presented by distinguished speakers including Dr. Bipul Chandra Sarma and Prof. Kusum K. Bania of Tezpur University. A special lecture on “Modern Tools in Bioscience: From Microscopy to AI & Data Analytics” was delivered by Dr. Pankaj Bharali of CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat. Dr. Upakul Mahanta of Bhattadev University also delivered a lecture on the topic of “Biophysics: When life meets laws of nature”.
On the second day, Dr. Sanjay K. Banerjee from NIPER, Guwahati delivered the keynote lecture on bioscience research opportunities in North-East India. Dr. Manas Das of Gauhati University presented an invited lecture on biodiversity, conservation biology, and sustainable ecosystems.

In a significant achievement, Bhattadev University's Hiyasmita Das has bagged the first position in Western Instrumental Solo in the AIU North East Zone Youth Festival "Luit Prabha" being held at Assam Don Bosco University. She has qualified for the AIU National Youth Festival scheduled next month.

The Bhattadev University Quiz team, comprising Bhargab Bhushan Vishwapati, Bishal Choudhury and Krishanu Kashyap Vishwapati has clinched the 2nd Position in the AIU North East Zone Youth Festival "Luit Prabha" being held at Assam Don Bosco University.
