To,
The Batch of 2026,

“कहीं पहुँचने के लिए कहीं से निकलना बहुत ज़रूरी होता है…”

Some endings don’t feel real until they quietly become memories.

As you stand at the threshold of new beginnings, we pause to acknowledge not just your achievements, but the journey that shaped them.

You were the batch that entered law school carrying the weight of an unfinished ending.
The *COVID batch* of Class 12....no proper farewell, no last bell that felt like closure, only uncertainty about what came next.

And then, law school began behind screens, friendships kept at a distance when they were meant to begin up close.
The usual excitement of a fresh start felt… different. Unfamiliar.

There was no clear template there rarely is.
But yours was a journey that demanded even more figuring out, more adjusting, more patience with the unknown.

And yet, somewhere between that uncertain beginning and today, things fell into place.

You found your people.
You found your pace.
You found your direction.

And of course how can anyone forget
you became THAT batch. The one known for its legendary bunks, turning attendance sheets into mere suggestions, and somehow still making it through.

Beyond the bunks and unforgettable chaos, you also became the batch everyone looked up to.
Be it mooting, sports, cultural events, or leadership, every batch that followed learned something from yours.

Five years of rushed mornings, last-minute FDs, Nescafe breaks that turned into laughter sessions, and hostel corridors that somehow knew all your stories today, they all stand still, just for a moment, for you.

The campus will remain, but it will never quite be the same without you.
And neither will you, without a piece of it.

You came here as strangers,
you leave as stories that this place will never forget.

Now, as final year turns into farewell,
this isn’t just an ending
it’s proof of everything you made work, even when nothing felt certain.

सायोनारा, until these corridors hear your laughter again.

The 1st Dr. Rajendra Prasad Memorial Lecture at Chanakya National Law University was not merely an academic gathering, but a moment of reflection on the deeper spirit of our Constitution.

The lecture commenced with a welcome address by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Faizan Mustafa, who highlighted the continued relevance of constitutional values and encouraged critical engagement with the Constitution. His efforts were instrumental in bringing such distinguished dignitaries to the University, making the occasion truly significant.

Hon’ble Mrs Justice B. V. Nagarathna, who is set to become India’s first female Chief Justice, delivered the lecture on “Constitutionalism Beyond Rights: Why Structure Matters.” Beginning with an overview of the Basic Structure doctrine, she drew attention to the deeper constitutional framework that sustains rights and democratic functioning. Known for her fearless and principled dissents, Justice Nagarathna’s judicial voice reflects both independence and empathy. Her words, “There can be illegitimate parents, but not an illegitimate child”, capture the humane vision that consistently informs her judgments.

The session transitioned into an engaging interaction, where students raised questions on contemporary concerns, including the three-year practice requirement, constitutional interpretation, and the increasing participation of women in the legal profession.

Hon’ble Mr Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest, addressed the gathering with thoughtful insights drawn from his judicial experience.

The lecture was presided over by Hon’ble Mr Justice Sanjay Kumar Sahoo, Chief Justice of the Patna High Court and Chancellor of the University. His address underscored the role of institutions in nurturing both legal scholarship and professional responsibility among students.

The event also witnessed the presence of other distinguished dignitaries, including the learned Attorney General, making it a truly enriching experience.

The lecture stood as a reminder that constitutionalism is not merely about the assertion of rights, but about preserving the structure that makes those rights meaningful.

Holi is not just about colors on the face, but colors in the soul. It reminds us to burn negativity like Holika, to let go of grudges, fears, and self-doubt, and to embrace life with openness and courage. Just as every color has its own identity yet blends beautifully with others, may we learn unity, acceptance, and joy.

For every dreamer and every student striving for their goals, let this Holi ignite new energy, fresh beginnings, and fearless confidence within you. Paint your journey with hard work, faith, and positivity.

Wishing you a vibrant, victorious, and value-filled Holi. Happy Holi! 🌈✨

On this sacred night of Mahashivratri, we bow to Mahadev, the Lord of Kailasa, radiant yet serene, powerful yet compassionate. Shiva teaches us that true strength lies in calmness, true wisdom lies in silence, and true victory lies in mastering oneself.

For every student striving through long nights, doubts, and challenges, remember, Mahadev represents unwavering focus, detachment from distractions, and courage to transform pain into power. Let this Shivratri be a reminder that storms may test you, but like Shiva, you must remain steady as the Himalayas.

May your mind be as still as Kailasa, your determination as fierce as Rudra, and your heart as vast as Mahadev himself.

Wishing you a fearless, focused, and transformative Mahashivratri. Har Har Mahadev!
