| A Cost-Effective Breakthrough for Safer and More Efficient Batteries

We are pleased to share that a research paper titled “Air-induced enhancement and anomalous temperature dependence of ionic conductivity in V₂O₅-doped LiTa₂PO₈ samples” has been published by the Dept. of Physics, SSSIHL in the Journal of Alloys and Compounds.

DOI: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jallcom.2026.187593

Authored by Krisanta Rai (DST-INSPIRE Fellow) and Dr. Swarup K., the study reveals a remarkable breakthrough—achieving up to a 6.5× increase in ionic conductivity simply through ambient air exposure, while also reducing processing temperature and cost.

A powerful example of turning a challenge into an advantage—paving the way for safer, more efficient next-generation batteries.

Congratulations to the authors on this impactful contribution!
