We at PCCOER in the Akurdi campus groom about 500 students to academic and professional excellence. We are a part of the Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust which was established by Late Shri S.B.Patil in 1990. The various departments we offer include applied sci

ence, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, civil engineering and electronics, and communication. To enable learning we have a Physics lab, a Chemistry lab, a Civil lab, Computer Lab, Electrical lab, workshop and various classrooms.

Dr. Sudarshan Sampatrao Bobade, Dean โ€“ Research and Development, PCCOER, was honoured to serve as a Resource Person for the Landslide Awareness & Capacity Building Training Programme organized by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Sindhudurg for government officials and frontline stakeholders from all eight talukas of the district.

The programme focused on landslide risk assessment, preparedness, mitigation measures, early warning systems, emergency response, evacuation planning, and community-based disaster risk reduction, in line with the recommendations of the Geological Survey of India (GSI).

Dr. Bobade expressed his sincere gratitude to Smt. Trupti Dhodmise, IAS (District Collector & District Magistrate, Sindhudurg), Smt. Shubhangi Sathe (Additional District Magistrate, Sindhudurg), Shri Machhindra Sukate (Resident Deputy Collector & CEO, DDMA Sindhudurg), and Smt. Rajashree Samant (District Disaster Management Officer โ€“ DDMO, Sindhudurg) for their visionary leadership and commitment towards strengthening disaster preparedness and resilience across the district.

Special appreciation was also extended to Smt. Sharada Powar (Deputy District Magistrate) and Shri Jagadish Katkar (Prantadhikari/Sub-Divisional Officer) for their valuable guidance and administrative support in the successful ex*****on of this capacity-building initiative.

PCCOER appreciates the efforts of the District Administration, DDMA Sindhudurg, Tahsildars, Talathis, Gram Sevaks, Police Patils, ASHA Workers, Anganwadi Sevikas, Revenue Officials, and other frontline functionaries for their dedication towards building safer and more resilient communities.

As a researcher and academician working in the field of disaster resilience, Dr. Bobade continues to contribute towards bridging the gap between research, policy, and field-level implementation for creating sustainable and disaster-resilient communities.

History is shaped by great leaders, but behind every great leader stands a source of wisdom, values, and vision. Rajmata Jijau was the guiding force who nurtured the character and ideals of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

She instilled in him the principles of justice, courage, self-respect, compassion, leadership, and commitment to the welfare of society. More than a mother, she was an educator, mentor, and architect of values that contributed to the foundation of Swarajya.

In the modern educational landscape, academic excellence must be complemented by character building, ethical thinking, and social responsibility. Rajmata Jijauโ€™s life continues to inspire educators and students alike to view education as a tool for creating responsible citizens and visionary leaders.
