After this handsome donation the institute was renamed as Sir Parashurambhau College. S.P. College is an Arts, Commerce and Science College. मला धडा समजूनपण घ्यायचायं ,
मला तो समजावूनपण द्यायचायं.
मला पेपर काढायचायं ,
मला पेपर तपासायचायं.
बाजूला कितीही नकारात्मक परिस्थिती येवो ,
मला कितीही अडचणी येवोत ,
मला लढायचंय. मला सकारात्मक राहायचंय ,
कारण मला हसायचंय मला हसवायचंय .
भावी पिढीची जबाबदारी माझ्यावर आहे, याची मला जाणीव आहे .
हो ......... मला त्यांना घडवायचंय
आणि....... मला देश घडवायचाय.
या लाॅकडाऊनच्या काळात मी वापरतोय माझा डेटा ,
कारण प्रिय पालकांनो
तुम्ही

अभ्यासक्रम बदलतो आणि मीही बदलतो .धडा बदलतो मग मीही बदलतो वर्ग बदलतो तेंव्हाही मी बदलतो .
वर्ष बदलते आणि नव्याने मीही बदलतो .नव्या विचारांनी सळसळून वर येतो,
खंबीरपणे बदलांना सामोरे जातो.
कारण....
कारण मी शिक्षक आहे .
आणि म्हणूनच मी जीवनभराचा विद्यार्थी आहे
जीवनभराचा विद्यार्थी आहे.
सगळं काही झालंय SET.

आत्ताच आणून ठेवतो पाण्याची बाटली कारण तात्पुरता नट झालोय .तरी
स्वावलंबी व्हा , आत्मनिर्भर बनो
हिच शिकवण गेली अनेक वर्ष वाटली.

कारण .......

Once in a physics class, the teacher asked the students, “Why do we have brakes in a car?”

Varied answers were received:

“To stop”

“To reduce speed”

“To avoid collision” etc.,

But the best answer was,

“To enable you to drive faster”

Give it a thought.

For a moment assume you have no brakes in your car then how fast will you drive your car?

It’s because of brakes that we can dare to accelerate, dare to go fast and reach destinations we desire.


At various points in life, we find our parents, teachers, mentors & friends etc. questioning our progress, direction or decision. We consider them as irritants or consider such inquiries as “brakes” to our ongoing work.

But, remember, it’s because of such questions (periodical brakes) that you have managed to reach where you are today. Without brakes, you could have skid, lost direction or met with an unfortunate accident.



I am deeply and sincerely grateful to all my priceless BRAKES .

Appreciate the “brakes” in your life. Without them we wouldn't be " where" we are today.

"पुस्तक..."

जून कधीच नाही आवडायचा त्याला.
जून यायचा तो बंद शाळेची किल्ली घेवून.
जूनच्या पहिल्या आठवड्यात शाळा सुरू व्हायची.
नवा वर्ग.
नवे शिक्षक.
दोनचार नवे दोस्त.
बस एवढंच.
नवा गणवेश.
नवं दप्तर.
नवी कंपास.
नवी वाॅटरबॅग.
नवा डबा.
सगळं नवेपण.
दोन तीन वर्षातून एकदा.
जुनं ते सोनं..
रगडून वापरायचं.
कस लागेपर्यंत.
आखिरी दम तक.
अगदीच नाईलाज झाला, तर नव्याची खरेदी व्हायची.
तो तसा समंजस होता.
नव्याचं नवेपण जाणवायचंच नाही त्याला.
ऊलट ओझं वाटायचं.
आईबापाची ओढाताण.
नवं नकोसं वाटायचं.
पुस्तक...
ते मात्र त्याला नवीन हवं असायचं.
नेहमीच.
कधीच मिळायचं नाही.
बालभारतीचं ते मनभावन चित्र.
चित्रातले ते ताई दादा.
पुस्तकाच्या नवलाईनं हरखून गेलेले.
पुस्तकात हरवलेले.
मन लावून अभ्यास करणारे.
त्यांच्या चेहर्यावरचा तो निरागस आनंद.
त्याला नेहमी वाटायचं.
नवीन पुस्तक हातात यावं.
त्याचा तो वास.
मनापासून, श्वासागणिक हुंगून घ्यावा.
त्यातली ती चित्रं.
अगदी गणिताच्या पुस्तकात सुद्धा असायची.
गणित सोप्पं वाटायचं.
पान् पान अलगद ऊलटावं.
कुठलाही कोपरा दुमडलेला नसावा.
कुठल्याही शब्दाखाली रेघोट्या नसाव्यात.
फोडणीचा वास अन् शाईचे डाग.
अशी कुठलीही रांगोळी नसावी पुस्तकावर.
साधीशी असणारी पुस्तकातली ती जिवंत चित्रं.
कुठल्याशा फालतू अदाकारीनं, विद्रूप न झालेली असावीत.
आय. एम. पी. च्या नावाखाली कापलेल्या चौकटी.
सवय होती त्याला त्याची.
आपल्या हातानं तो त्या चौकटी लिहून काढायचा.
त्याच्या हाती येणार्या पुस्तकाला,
पहिलं अन् शेवटचं पान नसायचंच कधी.
अस्पर्श , नवंकोरं पुस्तक.
शेवटपर्यंत हाती लागलंच नाही.
जूनच्या पहिल्या आठवड्यात आईचं बोट धरून..
तो आप्पा बळवंत चौकात जायचा.
जोगेश्वरीपाशी सेकंड हॅन्ड पुस्तकं मिळायची.
त्यात कसला आलाय चाॅईस ?
त्यातल्या त्यात धडधाकट निवडायचं.
वर्तमानपत्राचं कव्हर घालायचं.
झाकता येईल तेवढं ऊसवलेपण झाकायचं.
तरीही..
तो मनापासून शिकला.
फार नाही पण थोडासा श्रीमंत झाला.
आज..
बाईक घेवून आप्पा बळवंत चौकात गेला.
त्याच्या लेकासाठी पुस्तकं घ्यायला.
नवीन पुस्तकं घ्यायची ही दुसरी वेळ.
दुसरीत गेलाय त्याचा लेक.
दुकानाबाहेर सेकंड हॅन्ड मिळायची.
आता तो दुकानात शिरतो.
त्याच्या मुलासाठी फर्स्टहॅन्ड पुस्तकं.
त्याच्या चेहर्यावरचा आनंद.
न मावणारा.
आज अंबानीएवढा श्रीमंत होता तो.
नवं दप्तर, कंपास , डबा, वाॅटरबॅग , वह्या , पुस्तकं,रेनकोट.
त्याच्यासाठी आज सगळं परवडणेबल.
त्याच्या चेहर्यावर थोडीशी गुर्मी.
तो आत दुकानात शिरणार..
बाहेर एक चिमुरडा त्याच्या आईबरोबर.
जुनी पुस्तकं ' निवडत' होता.
तो फ्लॅशबॅकमधे.
ती मजबूरी पुन्हा जिवंत झालेली.
नाही रहावलं.
तो आणि त्याची आई.
खूप नाही नाही म्हणलं त्यांनी.
पहिलीची पुस्तकं घेत होती ती दोघं.
पहिलीच वेळ.
नवीन पुस्तकं घेवून दिली.
त्याच्या आईला म्हणाला ,
" एज्युकेशन लोन आहे असं समजा ताई..
माझा नंबर देतोय.
वर्षअखेरी चांगल्या मार्कांनी पास झाल्यावर फोन करा.
मगच लोन फिटेल हे."
त्या पोराच्या चेहर्यावरचा तो आनंद.
आता तर तो बिल गेटस्पेक्षाही श्रीमंत झालेला.
भरल्या पोटी तो दुकानात शिरतो.
हातातली लिस्ट देतो.
पैशाचं गणित चुकतंय.
दप्तर कॅन्सल.
घरी येतो.
पोराची समजूत काढतो.
पुढच्या महिन्यात नवीन दप्तर घेवू.
त्याचं पोरगं त्याच्याहून श्रीमंत.
" बाबा , माझं दप्तर अजून वर्षभर सहज जाईल.
खरी महाग पुस्तकंच.
पुस्तकांपुढे दप्तराची किंमत शून्य.
मला नवीन पुस्तकं मिळाली.
बाकी काही नको."
तो खूष.
त्याचं पोरगं आयुष्याचं पुस्तक वाचायला शिकलेलं.
नक्की चांगल्या मार्कांनी पास होणार.
आता जून आवडतो त्याला.
जुन्याचं ओझं नव्यानं संपलेलं.
आणि तो..
तो नव्या पुस्तकाला कव्हर घालू लागला
प्लॅस्टिकचं, ट्रान्सपरंट.

"अंतराळात जाणारी पहिली भारतीय महिला अंतराळवीर. कल्पना चावला यांची आज जयंती त्याचा जन्म भारतात १७ मार्च १९६२ मध्ये हरियानातील कर्नल येथे झाला . त्यांनी चंदिगढ येथे विमानविषयक अभियांत्रिकी पदवी प्राप्त केली नंतर तत्यांनी टेक्सास विश्वविद्यालय आर्लिंगटन येथे वैमानिक अभियान्त्रिकी मधे विज्ञान नैपुण्य मिळविलेले 1988 में कोलोराडो विश्वविद्यालयात विद्या वाचस्पति हि पदवी मिळविली
त्यांनी अंतराळात दोन मोहिमांमध्ये भाग घेतला. या मोहिमांत त्या ३० दिवस १४ तास ५४ मिनिटे अंतराळात राहिल्या होत्या. कल्पना चावला यांचा जन्म हरयाणा राज्यातील कर्नाळ या गावी झाला. त्यांच्या वडिलांचे नाव श्री. बनारसीलाल चावला तर आईचे नाव संज्योती होय. त्या चार भावाबहिणीत सर्वात लहान होत्या. कल्पना यांचा विवाह फ्रान्सचे वैमानिक प्रशिक्षक ज्याँ पीर हॅरीसन यांच्याशी झाला होता. त्यांनी अमेरिकेचे नागरिकत्व स्वीकारले होते.
चावला यांनी आपले पहिले अंतराळ उड्डाण STS-८७ कोलंबिया या अवकाशयानमधून १९ नोव्हेंबर ते ५ डिसेंबर १९९७ एवढ्या कालावधीकरिता केले. या मोहिमेत अंतराळामध्ये भारहीनता कोणत्या प्रकारे भौतिक क्रियांना प्रभावित करते या विषयीच्या तसेच सूर्याच्या बाह्य वातावरणीय प्रतलांचे निरीक्षण यावर भर दिलेला होता. सदस्यांपैकी दोन जणांनी एव्हाची (अवकाशात चालण्याची) कृती केली होती, त्यात चावलांचा समावेश होता. ही मोहीम अवकाशात ३७६ तास आणि ३४ मिनिटे राहिली तर अवकाशयानाने पृथ्वीभोवती २५२ वेळा परिभ्रमण केले.
कल्पना चावला यांचे दुसरे व अंतिम उड्डाण १६ जानेवारी ते १फेब्रुवारी २००३, या १६ दिवसांच्या कालावधीचे होते. ही मोहीम विज्ञान आणि संशोधनाला समर्पित होती. विविध पाळ्यांत काम करून मोहिमेतील सदस्य दिवसातील २४ तास काम करीत होते व त्यांनी त्यात जवळजवळ ८० यशस्वी परीक्षणे केली. मात्र या मोहिमेचा अंत दु:खद झाला. १ फेब्रुवारी २००३ ला कोलंबिया अवकाश यान परतीच्या मार्गावर असतांना जमिनीवर उतरण्याच्या १६ मिनिटेआधी अवकाशयानात बिघाड झाल्यामुळे पेटले व दुर्घटनाग्रस्त झाले. त्यात कल्पनासहित सहा अंतराळवीरांचा मृत्यू झाला. कल्पना चावला दोन्ही मोहिमांत एकूण ३० दिवस १४ तास ५४ मिनिटे अंतराळात होत्या.
कल्पना चावला यांना मरणोत्तर काँग्रेशनल स्पेस मेडल ऑफ हॉनर, द नासा स्पेस फ्लाईट मेडल आणि नासा डिस्टिंगविशड सर्व्हिस मेडल या पुरस्कारांनी सन्मानित करण्यात आले. हरयाणा शासनाने त्यांच्या स्मृतिप्रित्यर्थ कुरुक्षेत्र येथे कल्पना चावला स्मारक तारामंडळ उभारले आहे. पंजाब एंजिनिअरिंग कॉलेज, चंडिगढ ओल्ड बॉइज् ॲसोसिएशनने कल्पना चावला एक्सलन्स ॲवॉर्ड देण्यास सुरुवात केली आहे.

हि फक्त विनंती आहे बरं का !

आपल्या कुटुंबात किंवा निकटच्या ओळखीत विवाह , गृहप्रवेश, वाढदिवस असे बरेच कार्यक्रम होत असतात. यात हजारो लाखो रूपये खर्च केला जातो तसेच अशा शुभ प्रसंगी आहेर, भेटवस्तु किंवा पुष्पगुच्छ देण्याची देखिल आपल्याकडे पद्धत आहे.

हा सगळा सोहळा हवा तसा नक्कीच करावा पण जमले तर त्यातून सात आठ हजार बचत करुन विज्ञान प्रयोगशाळेच साहित्य , गणित किंवा विज्ञानाची पुस्तकं ( second hand सुद्धा चालतील) खरेदी करुन किंवा निमंत्रण पत्रिकेत नमूद करुन पुष्पगुच्छ किंवा वस्तू ऐवजी आहेर स्वरूपात रोख रक्कम किंवा पुस्तकं , विज्ञान साहित्य मागून त्या वधू वराच्या किंवा जन्मदिन असलेल्या व्यक्तीच्या हस्ते सरकारी किंवा गरज असलेल्या शाळेला भेट द्या. तुमच्या परिचयात कुणाचा शुभ प्रसंग असेल तर त्याला हे सुचवा.

ठरवलं तर हि अगदीच अशक्य गोष्ट नाहीये. कदाचीत आठ दहा हजाराच्या सुट साडी ऐवजी पाच सहा हजाराची सुट साडी घ्यावी लागेल पण असेच दोन दोन हजार वाचवून त्यातून मोठे काम उभे राहिल. महाराष्ट्रातील फक्त पाचशे व्यक्तींनी हे केलं तर पाचशे शाळा अद्ययावत होतील. अगदीच नाही जमले तर गेला बाजार चार पुस्तकं भेट द्या. तुम्ही या मुलांना आज फक्त एवढेच द्या नंतर तुम्हाला त्यांना काही देण्याची आवश्यकता नाही तर तेच आपल्याला व देशाला काहीतरी देतील.

हि विनंती आहे बरं का, आग्रह नाही !
