Smart India Hackathon 2025 – Internal Round 1
The Department of Chemical Engineering, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), College of Engineering, Pune, successfully organized Internal Hackathon Round-1 as part of the prestigious Smart India Hackathon (SIH-2025) – India’s largest open innovation initiative.
The event was inaugurated in the Department of Chemical Engineering in the presence of Dr. Prakash V. Chavan (HoD, Department of Chemical Engineering), Dr. Rajesh H. Jadhav (HoD, Department of Civil Engineering), Mr. Prashant L. Chaudhari (SIH Coordinator, Department of Chemical Engineering), and faculty members. This round provided a platform for students to demonstrate their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
A total of 10 teams, each consisting of six members, enthusiastically presented innovative solutions to various problem statements. Some challenges even drew multiple teams, reflecting the strong interest and diverse approaches of students.
The internal evaluation was conducted by Dr. Rajesh H. Jadhav (HoD, Civil Engineering) and Dr. Yogesh J. Chendake. Based on their assessment, the top five teams will progress to Round-2 of SIH-2025, proudly representing the Department of Chemical Engineering at Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Pune.
