As a part of the Swasthavritta curriculum of the B.A.M.S. course, Second Professional students visited Balaji Wafers Products Pvt. Ltd., Rajkot on 05 February 2026.

The visit provided valuable exposure to food processing, industrial practices, factory safety measures, and food safety standards. Students gained practical insights and hands-on learning beyond the classroom, making the visit a meaningful academic experience.

The excitement of sports and team spirit filled the campus of IIARH, Rajkot during the Cricket Tournament held on 25th, 26th & 27th December 🎉

The tournament was conducted separately for girls and boys, with 4 girls’ teams and 5 boys’ teams participating enthusiastically. Every match reflected great sportsmanship, energy, and enthusiasm.

Adding to the joy, a friendly cricket match between staff members and students was also organized, creating memorable moments and strengthening campus bonding 🌟

Visit of Umasadan Senior Citizen Club to IIARH Campus

On 11th December 2025 (Thursday), more than 250 senior citizens from Umasadan Senior Citizen Club visited the campus of the Indian Institute of Ayurved Research and Hospital (IIARH), Rajkot.

After registration, all the visitors were warmly welcomed with a traditional Ayurvedic health drink (Panak).

The visit included a series of four informative and engaging sessions conducted by our esteemed faculty members:

Session 1:
Dr. Maitray Maniyar delivered an insightful session on “Ayurveda and Panchakarma: A Journey Towards Healthy Aging”, highlighting the role of Ayurveda and Panchakarma in achieving a healthy, balanced, and graceful old age.

Session 2:
Dr. Khushbu Gohil delivered an enlightening talk on “Ayurveda and Yoga: The Best Way to Protect Health”, focusing on holistic health, lifestyle discipline, and preventive care.

Session 3:
Dr. Bhagirath Sankaliya conducted an informative session on “Myths and Scientific Facts about Anorectal Disorders: Piles, Fissure, Fistula, and Related Conditions.” The talk helped clear common misconceptions and emphasized timely diagnosis and treatment.

Session 4:
Dr. Mamta Parikh conducted the final session on “Old Age: Towards Peace and Balance”, emphasizing mental peace, emotional stability, positive outlook, and harmonious aging.

After the sessions, the senior citizens visited various college departments and the hospital.

Our teaching faculty members explained the role and functioning of each department in detail.

During the hospital visit, many participants benefited from health check-ups, consultations, and diagnosis as per their individual health needs.

The senior citizens thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and campus visit. The program was informative, interactive, and memorable for all participants.

🌍 World AIDS Day – Awareness Rally 🚩

On 1st December 2025, our NSS Unit and Department of Swasthavritta of Indian Institute of Ayurved Research & Hospital, Rajkot (IIARH) proudly organised an Awareness Rally on the occasion of World AIDS Day.

📍 Place: Haripar Pal Village, Kalawad Road

The rally aimed to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS, promote preventive measures, and encourage a healthier, informed community.

Our students actively participated and helped deliver this important message of health, compassion, and responsibility.

Let’s continue to stand together against stigma and work towards a healthier society. ❤️
