A Mental Health Awareness Program was organised at Government Engineering College(GEC), Rajkot on 10th Dec, 2025 at 12:00 PM under NTF by Psychological cell of the institute. The session was conducted by Mr. Vidit Sharma, Youth Ambassador and public figure known for his work in youth motivation and No su***de, drug -free awareness.

Around 162 students and 35 faculties attended the program. Mr Vidit Sharma addressed important topics such as stress management, anxiety, depression, and the importance of seeking help early. He strongly promoted the messages "No to drug", "No to su***de", and encouraged students to support a drug free campus movement. The issue of social media addiction was also discussed, highlighting the need for digital discipline and mindful usage of technology.
The speaker motivated students aligning with the idea of a Mind Strong Gujarat.
The session ended with an interactive Q & A where students openly discussed their challenges.
Overall, the program was informative and impactful.

Inauguration of one-week Faculty Development Program on “Analog and Digital IC Design Flow using Cadence Education Tools,” sponsored by the Gujarat Technical Education and Research Society (GTERS) under the umbrella of the Commissionerate of Technical Education was organized today.
During the inauguration, chief guest Shri M K Ladani (General manager D industries centre Rajkot), Expert Mr. Anish Kumar (Entuple Technologies), Principal AVPTI Dr. P. P. Kotak remained present. Principal - GECR, Dr. K. G. Maradia welcomed all the participants.
Total 31 faculties from various reputed institutes are participating in the program.

Dr. Dhaval Bhojani, Prof. Niranjan Agravat, Prof. Bharat Nagpara and Prof. Punit Lathiya are coordinating the event under the guidance of head of department EC Prof. S. B. Parmar and Principal Dr. K. G. Maradia.

The Civil Engineering Department organized a seminar titled “Nation’s Voice, Nation’s Pride: Vande Mataram @150” on 17 November 2025 in the Civil Engineering Seminar Room to commemorate the 150th anniversary of India’s iconic national song Vande Mataram coordinated by Prof. K.J. Savalia and Prof. S. S. Chourushi under the guidance of Head of Department Dr. N. J. Bhatt and Dr. T.H. Bhoraniya . The seminar aimed to create awareness about the cultural and historical importance of the song, highlighting its origins in Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay’s novel Anandamath and its significant role in inspiring unity and patriotism during India’s freedom struggle. A total of 72 students and faculty members from various branches actively participated in the event. All the participants were awarded digital certificate upon submission of digital feedback.
