On 19 May, 2026 (Tuesday), an expert lecture was organised at Swift Institute of Nursing, Rajpura, where Ex. Officiating Principal, NINE,PGIMER, Dr Karobi Das, was invited as the esteemed resource person. The programme commenced with a warm floral welcome of the guest speaker by Dr Neerja Shukla, who presented a bouquet as a token of respect and honour on behalf of the institution.
Dr Karobi Dass addressed the audience with a highly insightful and informative lecture on psychological assessment and mental health evaluation. She explained the importance of psychological assessment in understanding behaviour, personality traits, intelligence, emotional wellbeing, and cognitive functioning of an individual. During the session, she elaborated on various psychological assessment tests such as the Rorschach Inkblot Test, Stanford–Binet Intelligence Scales, Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory, intelligence quotient (IQ) tests, and power tests. She explained the uses, interpretation, and significance of these tests in identifying personality patterns, emotional status, intelligence levels, reasoning ability, and problem-solving capacity of individuals.
She further highlighted the role of psychological testing in diagnosis, counselling, patient assessment, mental healthcare management, and nursing practice. Through practical examples and interactive discussion, she made the session highly engaging and beneficial for the students and faculty members.
In the end, the students also became aware of their IQ scores through a standardized intelligence test conducted during the session. The activity provided them with practical exposure to psychological assessment and helped them understand their intellectual abilities and cognitive skills. Students enthusiastically participated in the assessment and found the activity highly informative and interesting.
The programme concluded with the presentation of a Guest of Honour to Dr Karobi Dass as a token of gratitude and appreciation for her valuable presence and enlightening lecture.

Nurses Week 2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm and pride at Swift Institute of Nursing on 15th May 2026 in the Multi Purpose Hall. The event was organized to honor the dedication, compassion, and service of nurses and nursing students.
The program began with a Floral Welcome followed by the traditional Lamp Lighting Ceremony, symbolizing knowledge and hope. After that, Saraswati Vandana was performed to seek blessings for wisdom and success.
One of the most memorable moments of the celebration was the Oath Taking Ceremony, where the students of BSC Nursing (batch 2025-2029 )& GNM (Batch 2025-2028 )(total :-100 students)took the nursing oath with sincerity and commitment to serve humanity. The Nightingale Pledge was administered by our respected Principal Dr. Neerja Shulka, Principal, Swift Institute of Nursing. She also delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the importance of Nurses Week and the noble role of nurses in healthcare.
The celebration was further honored by the presence of respected dignitaries including Dr. Gopal Munjal (Director), Dr. Maninder Kaur (Assistant Director), Ms. Shikha (Academic Coordinator), Dr. Balwant Ray (Vice Principal), Dr. Heera Mani, Dr. Manpreet Kaur, and all the respected faculty members. The program included wonderful cultural performances, making the event more joyful and memorable. A special speech was delivered by Dr. Gopal Munjal, motivating students to work with dedication, discipline, and empathy in their nursing journey.
The event also included a Prize Distribution Ceremony, where students were awarded for their achievements and participation. The celebration ended on a happy note with Cake Cutting and Refreshments, bringing everyone together in unity and joy.

13 May 2026, a Quiz and Debate Competition was organized by the faculty of the Nursing Institute as part of the celebration of International Nurses Week. Ms. Nitisha and Ms. Sunali made sincere efforts to actively engage the students in both activities, which were based on the theme of nursing and recent advancements in healthcare education.
The quiz competition was based on Basic Nursing concepts, theme-based nursing knowledge, and Artificial Intelligence in healthcare. All the participating teams showed great enthusiasm and actively attempted to answer every question with confidence and interest.
The debate competition focused on simulation scenarios in the nursing field. The students were divided into two teams and presented different viewpoints regarding the use of simulation and AI-based learning in nursing education and practice. The discussion was informative, interactive, and highly appreciated by the audience.
Principal Mam, Dr. Neerja, also shared her valuable insights during the event. She motivated the students and elaborated on the importance of simulation-based learning, critical thinking, and the role of technology in modern nursing education. On the occasion of celebration, a Notice Board Decoration Competition was organized at Swift Institute of Nursing. The competition aimed to encourage creativity, teamwork, and awareness regarding the significance of the nursing profession among students.
All classes participated enthusiastically and showed great interest in decorating the notice boards of their respective classrooms. The entire campus reflected the vibrant spirit and colors of Nurses Week celebrations. Students used innovative ideas, artistic designs, meaningful slogans, charts, drawings, and informative materials related to the theme of Nurses Day to make their notice boards attractive and informative.
The participants beautifully highlighted the importance of nurses in healthcare services and paid tribute to their dedication, compassion, and selfless service. The creativity and innovation displayed by the students were highly appreciated by the faculty members. Each class presented unique themes and concepts that reflected the values and responsibilities of the nursing profession.

On the occasion of celebration on 12 May 2026, a Salad Making Competition was organized in the nursing college with great zeal and enthusiasm. The event witnessed active participation from students of various nursing courses, who displayed remarkable creativity, teamwork, and awareness regarding healthy nutrition through their innovative salad presentations.
Students prepared a wide variety of colorful, nutritious, and beautifully decorated salads using fresh fruits, vegetables, sprouts, and other healthy ingredients. Each team enthusiastically presented their dishes with unique themes, artistic garnishing, and informative explanations about the nutritional value and health benefits of the ingredients used. Swift Technical Campus organized a farewell party on April 29, 2026, for the final-year students. The event was a memorable occasion where juniors warmly bid farewell to their seniors, expressing gratitude and sharing heartfelt moments.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Respected President Sir, Assistant Director Ma’am, HOD STC, Principal Pharmacy, and Vice Principal Nursing. Their presence added dignity and encouragement to the occasion.
The celebration was filled with enthusiasm and joy, featuring various activities such as dance performances and title distribution. The event created a lively and emotional atmosphere, making it a special day for everyone present.

Kashish and Puneet were honored with the titles of Ms. Farewell and Mr. Farewell respectively. Anisha and Lovish were awarded Ms. Personality and Mr. Personality for their remarkable presence and confidence.

An educational visit was organized for GNM 1st year students to the Blind School, Sector 26, Chandigarh. A total of 40 students participated in this visit. The students were accompanied by Professor Heera Mani from the Community Health Nursing Department.

The visit proved to be highly informative and enriching for the students. They got an opportunity to observe how visually impaired students study, perform their daily activities independently, and manage their work without assistance. It was inspiring to see their confidence and self-reliance.

The students were also introduced to Braille language, which is used by blind individuals for reading and writing. This helped them understand the unique learning methods adopted by visually impaired students.

During the visit, the Principal, Mr. Rahul Sharma, and the Secretary, Ms. Aparna, provided detailed information about the school. They explained the history of the institution, its establishment, and the various facilities offered to students.

It was shared that the school provides free education, free hostel accommodation, free uniforms, and other necessary facilities. Even for day scholars, free bus transportation is available. The management ensures that students receive complete support for their education and overall development.

Overall, the visit was very meaningful and educational. It helped the students develop empathy, awareness, and respect for differently-abled individuals.

The Farewell Ceremony for the outgoing batch was held on 24.4.2026 with great enthusiasm and warmth at Swift School of Pharmacy. The event served as a heartfelt tribute to the graduating students, celebrating their journey, achievements, and the memories created during their academic years.

The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Maninder, respected Assistant Director, and Academic Coordinator, Ms. Shikha.
