Professor Dr Bahadur Singh of food department is no more among us.
We lost an young alumni, Lieutenant Narender Thakhur of 2010 batch, in the rail mishap which took place a couple of days ago.
These void will not be filled. Prayers for the departed soul and condolences to the family.

Remaining 2 of 8 trekkers who couldn't be rescued yesterday due to adverse weather conditions,have been rescued safely from Chandrakhani today.

6 people safely rescued(airlifted) from Chandrakhani to Rumsu village near Kullu and admitted to Kullu Govt Hospital, 2 ppl yet to be rescued. They will be rescued as soon as weather is clear. The two students are still in a cave and have been provided with sleeping bags and food packets- Padam Chand, SP Kullu.

7+1 students from SLIET went missing while trekking. Rescue hunt by HP govt is on. Let's pray they get back safely.

The seven trekkers, who have gone missing in the Parvati Valley of Kullu district on a private trekking trip, are final year BTech students of students of Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) in Longowal, about 25 km from Sangrur.
