The world around us is witnessing rapid change in various fields and Management Education is no exception. In order to be Future ready, Management education in India has to be able to anticipate the future and carve out appropriate strategies and programmes, to enable students to be able to meet the challenges of tomorrow. est in Class” but indeed be able to “Next Mark”. Over the years GIM has earned the enviable reputation of being one of the finest Management Schools in the country. Most B-School surveys have given the Institute top marks in terms of Placement record, Quality of Education, Enabling Infrastructure, Efforts at Globalisation etc. Through the AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) the Indian Government has granted accreditation to GIM and the programmes that it conducts. This ensures that the quality of education is not compromised in any way. The environment at GIM ensures high quality of learning. Through its rigorous admissions process, which is transparent and based solely on merit, the Institute ensures that the student community is committed to the learning process . The Institute imparts sound values to enable its students to become effective and good leaders. The infrastructure which is being constantly upgraded ensures a comfortable working environment. The library, which is the heart of any institution, gets the maximum priority. Goa, with its natural God given beauty, in no small measure adds to this wonderful learning experience. GIM boasts of some of the finest Inhouse and Visiting Faculty. The curriculum is regularly evaluated and upgraded to make the students future ready. The Visiting Faculty ensures relevant Industry cases to be brought into the classroom. Collaborate Research enables Faculty to keep pace with the changes in Management education. Industry interaction is encouraged through Management Development programmes, an Executive MBA program and Consultancy. All this finally benefits the students who pass out from GIM. The Board of Governors consists of eminent Academicians, Industry Professionals and Government Officials who guide the Institute through regular Board meetings. The Government of Goa also lends support to the Institute in various ways. The Institute is committed to the process of globalization by maintaining appropriate international linkages and Exchange Programs. This will get greatly enhanced in the next few years.

Goa Institute of Management (GIM) is proud to share the successful global launch of the book ‘The Power of Arts-Based Pedagogies: Transforming Mindsets to Shape Our Future’, co-edited by Prof. Divya Singhal, Professor, GIM, along with Ms. Isabel Rimanoczy, Founding Director, PRME Working Group on Sustainability Mindset, and Ms Ekaterina Ivanova, Researcher and Educator in sustainability and arts-based learning. Published by Routledge as part of the PRME Book Series, the book highlights the role of arts-based approaches in shaping sustainability mindsets, empathy, and systems thinking.

The launch event featured Prof. David Steingard, Head, Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), and Prof. Pierre Guillet de Monthoux, Scientific Director, Stockholm School of Economics Art Initiative, with the session moderated by Prof. Mehdi Majidi, Goa Institute of Management. The publication brings together 36 authors across five continents through 22 chapters and includes endorsements from Prof. Edward Freeman, Professor, University of Virginia, Prof. Tima Bansal, Professor, Ivey Business School, Prof. Wayne Visser, Professor, Antwerp Management School, Prof. Nancy J Adler, Professor, McGill University, Prof. Dan Le Clair, Chief Executive Officer, Global Business School Network, Prof. Ajit Parulekar, Director, Goa Institute of Management, Prof. Dr. habil. Goa Institute of Management (GIM), in collaboration with the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE)(), successfully hosted the ‘1st International Conference on Finance and Sustainable Finance 2026’, bringing together academia and industry for meaningful discussions on evolving financial paradigms.

Held on 24–25 April 2026 at the Fr Romuald D’Souza Auditorium, the conference explored critical themes at the intersection of finance and sustainability, including responsible investing, policy frameworks, and the future of financial systems. The event created a platform for scholars, professionals, and practitioners to exchange ideas and perspectives on building more responsible and resilient financial ecosystems.

The conference reflected GIM’s continued commitment to advancing research, encouraging academic dialogue, and contributing to conversations shaping the future of finance and sustainability.

Goa Institute of Management (GIM) is pleased to share that an article by Dr Prakash Singh, Associate Professor, General Management and Public Policy, GIM, Mr Yashraj Tanwar, Research Assistant, GIM, and Dr Durairaj Kumarasamy, Professor and Head, Department of Economics, SBSS, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies, has been featured in The Policy Edge.

Titled ‘India Must Count Financial Inclusion by Use, Not Just Access’, the article examines the gap between financial access and meaningful financial use. Drawing on evidence from India’s inclusion landscape, it argues that awareness and account ownership alone are not enough unless digital access, trust, usability, and social context also support engagement with formal financial systems.

The article reflects GIM’s continued emphasis on research that engages with pressing public policy questions and contributes to practical, evidence-based solutions.

Goa Institute of Management (GIM) recently concluded a Management Development Program (MDP) for Grid Controller of India Ltd (GRID-India), titled ‘Indradhanush’, a three-day team building and experiential learning workshop that brought together leadership, collaboration, and trust building through immersive activities.

Mr Rinku Narang, Corporate Vigilance Department, GRID-India, described the workshop as highly enriching and valued the mix of inbound and outbound learning. Mr Suhas C. Dambhare, Chief General Manager, System Operations, GRID-India, appreciated the faculty, the campus ambience, and the trust-building session. Ms Pushpa S. Dambhare, General Manager, Market Operations, GRID-India, shared that the programme was engaging, well structured, and impactful.

The programme also included curated activities, adding a distinctive experiential touch to the program. The collaboration reflects GIM’s focus on delivering experiential learning that strengthens leadership and team cohesion.

Goa Institute of Management (GIM) was honoured to host Mr Sunil Gupta, Co-founder, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Yotta Data Services, as the Chief Guest for Convocation 2026.

In his address to the graduating cohort, he reflected on the rapid evolution of the digital ecosystem, highlighting how the convergence of human and machine intelligence will shape the future of work. Emphasising decision-making, adaptability, and continuous learning, he encouraged students to navigate uncertainty with clarity while retaining the human perspective in an increasingly AI-driven world.

Goa Institute of Management (GIM) hosted a guest speaker session by Prof. Jaideep Prabhu, Professor of Marketing and Nehru Professor of Indian Business at Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, on ‘How frugal innovation is shaping the growth story of Goa and India’.

The session explored how resource-efficient innovation is driving growth across emerging and developed economies. Drawing on his extensive research in innovation, strategy, and international business, Prof Prabhu shared insights from his work published in leading FT50 journals, along with perspectives from his books named, Jugaad Innovation, Frugal Innovation, and How Should a Government Be?

The session provided a valuable platform for academic engagement, enabling participants to interact with global research perspectives and deepen their understanding of innovation in contemporary business contexts.
