π Faculty Development Programme 2026 | Day 4 Highlights π
The fourth day of the One-Week Faculty Development Programme on βTransforming Higher Education through Emerging Technologies and Skill-Based Learningβ at Lamrin Tech Skills University (LTSU), Punjab, offered a unique blend of spiritual reflection, technological advancement, and educational leadership.
The day commenced with a solemn tribute to Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji. Prof. (Dr.) B. S. Satyal, Pro Vice-Chancellor, LTSU, shared inspiring insights from the life and teachings of Guru Ji, emphasizing the values of humility, compassion, resilience, and selfless service. Dr. Aman Singh, Head, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Department, further reflected on the enduring relevance of Guru Jiβs spiritual legacy in contemporary society.
The academic sessions began with an enlightening expert talk by Dr. Sarwan Singh, Joint Director, NIELIT Chandigarh, on Emerging Technologies, with a special focus on Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). The session highlighted the transformative role of immersive technologies in education, healthcare, industry, and skill development.
The second expert session was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) A. S. Chawla, Vice-Chancellor, LTSU, on βOrientation Towards Achieving Results in a Dynamic Environment.β Through practical examples and strategic insights, he emphasized adaptability, innovation, and result-oriented leadership as essential competencies for success in rapidly evolving academic and professional landscapes.
The third session, conducted by Dr. Jagpal Singh Rana, Registrar, LTSU, introduced participants to Plickers, an innovative EduTech-based assessment and instructional framework. The session demonstrated how technology-enabled pedagogical tools can enhance student engagement, facilitate continuous assessment, and improve learning outcomes.
The day concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. H. P. S. Dhami, Executive Dean, USET, and Dr. Akashdeep Singh, Dean, USLS, who appreciated the valuable contributions of the distinguished speakers and the enthusiastic participation of faculty members.
Day 4 successfully integrated spiritual values, emerging technologies, and innovative pedagogical practices, reinforcing LTSUβs commitment to transforming higher education and empowering educators for the digital future.
