NLU Meghalaya was privileged to participate in the Mega Camp-cum-Awareness Programme on NALSA Schemes & Government Welfare Schemes organised by the High Court of Meghalaya & The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority held at Marngar, Ri-Bhoi District, Meghalaya, under the theme “Bridging the Gap.”
The programme was inaugurated by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Surya Kant, Chief Justice of India and Patron-in-Chief, National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), in the august presence of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, Judge, Supreme Court of India.
The event was graced by Hon'ble Justice Revati Mohite Dere, Chief Justice, High Court of Meghalaya and Patron-in-Chief, Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority (MSLSA); Hon'ble Mr. Justice H.S. Thangkhiew, Judge, High Court of Meghalaya and Executive Chairman, MSLSA; Hon'ble Mr. Justice W. Diengdoh, Judge, High Court of Meghalaya and Chairperson, High Court Legal Services Committee; Hon'ble Mr. Justice B. Bhattacharjee, Judge, High Court of Meghalaya; and Shri Lahkmen Rymbui, Hon'ble Law Minister, Government of Meghalaya.
The initiative reflects a collective commitment towards enhancing legal awareness, promoting access to justice, and ensuring that welfare benefits reach every section of society.
