National Institute Of Technology Silchar (NIT Silchar; Hindi: राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान, सिल्चर) is a higher education institute situated in Silchar, Assam, India. NIT Silchar is a National Institutes of Technology and was declared as Institute of National Importance under the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007. In 2002 it was upgraded to the status of National Institute of Technology. Its campus is spread over 670 acres of land on the outskirts of the Silchar city.
