HISTORY & SPECIFIC REASONS WITH JUSTIFICATION FOR OPENING THE COLLEGE
The College is named as โMONMOHAN GHOSH ANIL DAS MEMORIAL COLLEGEโ in the loving memory of heavenly fathers of the authors of the โMONMOHAN GHOSH ANIL DAS MEMORIAL TRUSTโ deed and the college is established with a view to recognizing their services to the society and they deserved it as a devotion from us because we can never materialize our vision if we do not get higher education and inspiration from their diligent efforts and endless blessings.
1. In order to perpetuate the memories of Late Monmohan Ghosh and Late Anil Das, the College was founded and inaugurated in the year 2015-16 at vill & P.O Sangjurai,Tarapur, Khelma, Ramnagar, P.S.Silchar, Dist.Cachar , Assam by the heirs of the departed persons . Later on in the year 2016-17 , the College property and management was taken over by the โMONMOHAN GHOSH ANIL DAS MEMORIAL TRUSTโ
MONMOHAN GHOSH ANIL DAS MEMORIAL COLLEGE, ( vill & p.o Sangjurai, Tarapur, Khelma, Ramnagar, P.S. Silchar, Dist.Cachar ,Assam) is situated in the rural area generally inhabitated by educationally and economically backward people mostly belonging to S.C. category. Towards the west , there is one College named S.C Dey College, Katakhal (22 kms. away) & towards south-west there is another college named A.L.Choudhury College, Algapur (aprox. 36 kms. away).There was a great demand amongst the surrounding areas like Tapang Block, Salchapra Block areas as well as in Srikona & Ramnagar localities for opening a Degree College .
We came forward to fulfill the academic needs of the backward area & opened the College.
70 % of the students of the College are female and its not possible for them to get admitted in Colleges situated at far-off areas due to monetary problems and security reasons.
The local residents of the area will face great problems in affording higher education to their words and this will adversely affect PMโS unique Vision of โBeti Bachao, Beti Padaoโ.
