What happens when young minds in architecture and design meet the ancient craft of stone carving?
On 15th April, our Foundation students recently stepped into the workshop of Baghpat Stone Factory โnot as observers, but as participants. They worked alongside master artisans, feeling the weight of the tool, the grit of the stone, and the patience required to transform a rugged block into a textured narrative.
They discovered that stone is never truly static. Itโs rough, weathered, fractured, and smooth surfaces speak of time, pressure, and transformationโmuch like the creative process itself.
Grateful to the artists of Stone Factory Baghpat for sharing their craft and wisdom with the students. This is how we build grounded, sensitive designersโby learning with our hands, not just our screens.
