Sad Incident :
Yesterday there has been a serious physical assault on one Assistant Professor of our university.
One student of MA (previously elected as student leader) caught with mobile in examination hall by one teacher. Student misbehaved with one male as well as one female Faculty member who were on flying squad duty during the incident. He later said sorry to female faculty member in examination hall.
He later attacked on Assistant Professor along with 4 of his companion while faculty was engaged in viva voice of students in his lab.
All teaching staff of university is deeply hurt and dishearten by this incident. In the morning they requested Center Supritendend to lodge a complaint against mentioned persons as they are not feeling safe anymore in the university's environment. With due resistence CS denied to register a complaint due to which examinations couldnt be started on time. Later CS mailed a complaint to DM, SP and SHO and then faculty members agreeed to start the examinations.CS later resigned due to criminal behaviour or students.
Later a large group of faculty members met with VC and requested to take appropriate action immediately on the accused. It was requested the mentioned student should be resticated immediately and a FIR should be lodged on all 5 accused by proctorial board of university.
Faculty members also gave an ultimatum if no appropriate action will be taken by university within 48 hours of application teachers will have no other option than going on a protest.
VC and Chief proctor assured an immediate disciplinary action will be taken on accused persons. DSW, Pro VC and proctor board were also present in the meeting.

We condemn such behaviour by any student of university. I hope all will agree with this.
