Today handloom day celebrations were held at JNGEC in collaboration with Weavers Service Centre, Kullu. Weavers Service Centre comes under the development commissioner of handlooms, a subordinate office of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The department of Textile Engineering works in close collaboration with all the offices under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The department is proud of its alumni who are also working with the Ministry of Textiles in its subordinate offices situated across the country. More than 150 students attended the today's event and several participants took active part in quiz competition, weave making competition and essay writing competition.
