Government Degree College, Tekkali was stated to cater the Educational needs of the rural and oriya Lingustic minority students. The Tekkali Division Education Society purchased this 20 acres (8.09 Hectors) of Govt. Jerayathi dry land covered in patta No. 982 in S.No. 516 Registered on 15-12-1971 through a registered sale Deed from trustee board represented by its Managing Trustee.
