The following were the evidences found on the scene :-
1. A prescription from a doctor advising the victim to take a given dose of tranquil tablets.
2. The room was in a cluttered state indicating that the victim was in a state of stress and anguish.
3. There was no sign of an outsider.
4. A crumbled paper which had the lyrics of the infamous song, "Gloomy Sunday"
5. A Sony walkman
6. A disposed syringe.
7. Markings on the calendar with a colour code.
The given mystery was a su***de.
Based on the evidence that was given it can be inferred that the person was under medication for depression since he was prescribed with a given dose of tranquil tablets. Moreover, he was a victim of substance abuse. This clearly gives a picture of his mental instability. Since he was undergoing a treatment, he might had been advised to use a wellness colour chart or mood colour chart which was marked on the calendar.(Three colours, orange , red and black were used. Orange represents having a bad day , red represents deteriorating mood and black represents suicidal tendency). There was a crumbled paper with the lyrics of the infamous song "Gloomy Sunday" written by the victim( the purple pen, with which the lyrics was written, was lying under one of the books that was lying on the floor) and a Sony Walkman implying that the victim was listening to it. This song, which is based on lost love, is known to have caused many su***des among the depressed people due to its melancholic lyrics and tune. (This person might had an unsuccessful love affair and could relate himself to John Keats and his poetry on love.)
So, while listening to the song he would have become provoked. In a fit of rage , agony and stress the person might have flung the things around him implying to the cluttered state of the room. And then, he had resorted to harm himself. (A trait most depressed people have.) As a result, he used a dagger to kill himself. He stabbed himself on the left side of the abdomen.(The handle of the knife didn't have blood stains owing to the fact that he might have stabbed less intensively when compared to the intensity with which an outsider would stab him). Out of pain, he might have pulled out the dagger . It then might have fallen down on the floor. He might have laid his hands on the wound . Inorder to balance himself, the victim held his hand on the wall and so it was stained.
By then, he might have succumbed to his injuries and so he fell down lying on his back. And so there were blood stains near the left side of the abdomen and near his hands.
Thus it can be concluded that it was a case of su***de as there're no signs of an outsider from the evaluation .
