The Al-Azhar campus, situated in Perumpillichira, Kumaramangalam Panchayath, 3kms from Thodupuzha town, is under Noorul Islam Trust. The foundation stone was laid on 21st February, 2002 by Janab Nalakath Sooppy, former Minister for Education, who was keenly aware of the genuine need of the backward communities.The magnanimous people of Idukki District have extended their generous hands for the development of the Trust so as to benefit the backward classes as a whole.
