Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre is located on the northern slopes of Thiruvilwamala, which merges with the banks of the holy river Nila. This undulating terrain of 40 acres with lush green vegetation is continuously swept and hugged by the gentle northern breeze that brings the purity, serenity and sweetness of river Nila. This picturesque location shall linger nostalgically in th

e minds of anybody visiting this beautiful area. Endowed with an enchanting and breathtaking topography, lush green natural vegetation, virgin land, pollution free atmosphere, equitable temperature, plentiful of nectar like fresh water and salubrious climate, this is a sought after place for healthy life, clear thinking and pleasant learning pursuits. The College has 6 buildings, including academic blocks, administrative building, 2 laboratory blocks, workshops, library and computer centers. There are 3 blocks in Women’s Hostel, One Boys Hostel and 2 Guest House blocks outside the premises. About 20 acres out of 40 acres of the land in the campus are beautifully landscaped without disturbing the natural terrain. Various buildings on the campus are named after great Indian Scientists and Philosophers. The College is now an Autonomous Institution affiliated to A P J Abdul Kalam Technological University(KTU) it is also an ISO 9001:2015 certified institution, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and is Re-Accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with 'A' Grade and NBA Accredited UG-Programme (CSE,Mechatronics). Over these years NCERC has grown to be one of the Best Self Financing College in Thrissur, Kerala.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre (NCERC), organized a visit to the Jawaharlal Campus. The visit was conducted as part of utilizing the diverse academic and technical resources available within the NGI ecosystem.
Students had the opportunity to explore the advanced aviation facilities available at Jawaharlal Aviation Institute (JAI) and Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology (JCET).

The visit effectively showcased how inter-institutional collaboration within the group enhances practical learning.

During the visit, students explored:
Aircraft Hangar
Avionics Laboratory
Airframe Laboratory
Engine Bay
Aircraft and helicopter


The program was highly beneficial in enhancing students’ understanding of aviation technology while emphasizing the strength of intra-group academic resource sharing.

Industria Mech Summit–2026 at NCERC

The Department of Mechanical Engineering (Industry Integrated) at Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre (Autonomous), Pampady, organized Industria Mech Summit–2026 at the Aryabhata Seminar Hall, aiming to strengthen the link between engineering education and industrial practices.
Welcome address by Dr Benny Paul , HOD (Mechanical Engineering (Industry Integrated).

The summit was inaugurated by Adv Dr. P. Krishnadas, Honorary Trade Commissioner of Mauritius–India, Chancellor of P K Das Deemed to be University and Chairman & Managing Trustee, NGI, highlighted the importance of integrating industry exposure with academic learning to prepare students for emerging technological challenges.

The Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IICC) of NCERC also inaugurated during the function to further strengthen industry connect and collaboration with academic programmes.

An expert session was delivered by Shri Sreenivasa Pai S, Head of Engineering Services and Sustainability at Saint-Gobain SEFPRO, who shared insights on modern industrial practices and sustainability in engineering.

The event also featured a panel discussion with industry experts including Shri E. B. Suresh (Fluid Control Research Institute), Shri K. K. Babu (Sreerama Scaffoldings), Shri Sreejith G (Kerala Agro Machinery Corporation), Shri Ajith M. S. (Department of Factories & Boilers, Government of Kerala), Shri Hareesh K (SILK Foundry), Shri V Rajappan (Navabharath Systems & Devices) and Shri Jayakrishnan (Southern Railway).

The programme was presided over by Dr. Sudheer S Maraar, Dean of Academy, NCERC. Faculty members, students and industry representatives participated in the summit, making it a valuable platform for interaction between academia and industry.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering (Industry Integrated) at Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre proudly presents Industria Mech Summit 2026, a platform designed to connect industry expertise with engineering education. The summit will feature insights from distinguished leaders including Adv. Dr. P.
