Pharmacology Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm at Dr. K. N. Modi University

Dr. K. N. Modi University, Newai, Rajasthan, celebrated Pharmacology Day on August 17, 2026, with great enthusiasm and academic spirit. The programme aimed to highlight the importance of pharmacology in healthcare, pharmaceutical education, drug discovery, rational drug use, and patient safety.
The event was graced by Dean Academics Prof. (Dr.) Harvir Singh, who addressed the students and emphasized the significance of pharmacology in developing competent healthcare professionals. He encouraged students to remain updated with recent developments in drug discovery, pharmacotherapy, pharmacovigilance, and evidence-based medicine.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Anil Ahuja also addressed the gathering and highlighted the vital role of pharmacology in pharmacy education and clinical practice. He motivated students to develop a strong conceptual foundation, scientific temperament, research aptitude, and ethical approach towards the use of medicines. He further encouraged students to actively participate in academic, research, and co-curricular activities.
The programme was coordinated with the active participation of Dr. Manmohan Sharma, HOD, along with faculty members Ms. Jyoti, Ms. Bhoomika, Ms. Priya, Ms. Prateeksha, Dr. Shashank, Dr. Sukhdeep, Mr. Ashok, Mr. Ritesh Upadhyay, Mr. Osama, Mr. Surya Prakash, Mr. Nishant, and other faculty members and staff.
Students participated enthusiastically in the programme and gained valuable insights into the importance and evolving scope of pharmacology. The celebration provided an excellent platform for students to understand the contribution of pharmacologists and pharmacists towards safe, effective, and rational medication use.
