It has started functioning from the academic session 2004-05 with initial enrolment of 10 (ten) students. Home science is an interdisciplinary field of knowledge with focus on 5 Departments:

4. Family Resource Mgt, &
5. Extension & Communication Mgt

ing innovations & changes, linking edu. to emerging career patterns. The College offers a broad-based course that gives students exposure to "real life lessons"
Community Science graduates can seek careers in the fields of nutrition & dietetics in hospital setting,food industry,mass communication,journalism, fashion designing, interior designing,architecture, etc. or even work to serve as research assistants. Besides internal & external factors, one’s academic potential, struggle to achieve the target career, perseverance, hardships all are the deciding factors of what one “can be” in one’s life.
