The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) were created by the Indian Government with the aim of identifying the brightest intellectual talent available in the student community of India and training it in the best management techniques available in the world, to ultimately create a pool of elite managers to manage and lead the various sections of the Indian economy. IIMs play a leading role in th

e nation's managerial manpower development in addition to carrying out research in emerging areas. These Institutes are recognized as premier management institutions, comparable to the best in the world for teaching, research and interaction with industries. As role models for other Indian B-Schools, they have shared knowledge and skills to improve the quality and standards of management education in India. IIMU started off with its PGP Programme with a batch of 58 students in a temporary campus located at Polymer Science Building, Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU), Udaipur. The new campus for IIM Udaipur will come up in 253 acres of land in the Balicha area of Udaipur, Rajasthan which has been allocated by the Government of Rajasthan for this purpose. Shri C.K.Birla, Chairman of Hindustan Motors Ltd., India, was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Governors for IIM Udaipur while Prof. Janat Shah, formerly with IIM Bangalore, was appointed as the Institute's Director. IIM Udaipur currently offers a Dual Degree Post Graduate Programme for Executives in Global Supply Chain Management in collaboration with Purdue University's Krannert School of Management, a Management Development Programme for Women Entrepreneurs and a Summer School Programme for Future Leaders in Development, in addition to the flagship Post Graduate Programme. Over the next few years, the Institute would also offer Doctoral Programmes and Faculty Development Programmes. IIM Udaipur aims to set a new benchmark in the field of management education and research by delivering a high quality of education through the dissemination of knowledge. Set in the picturesque backdrop of Udaipur, one of the busiest tourist attractions in India, the Institute strives to roll out a curriculum that will be utmost in-line with industry with a special focus on global business practices.

IIM Udaipur is delighted to welcome the 4th Cohort of the Summer Program in Management (SPM) 2026, a 14-day immersive learning experience being conducted from June 1–14, 2026.

The program has attracted 146 enthusiastic participants, comprising undergraduate students and MBA aspirants from diverse academic backgrounds, who are eager to explore the world of management and gain exposure to contemporary business practices.

The inaugural session was led by Prof. Rajesh Agrawal, Program Director, who introduced participants to the program’s objectives and learning journey. The occasion was further enriched by the address of Prof. Ashok Banerjee, Director, IIM Udaipur, who encouraged participants to embrace curiosity, critical thinking, and continuous learning as they prepare for future leadership roles.

Over the next two weeks, participants will engage with IIM Udaipur’s distinguished faculty through interactive sessions, case discussions, and experiential learning activities designed to provide a strong foundation in management education.

We wish all participants a rewarding and transformative learning experience at IIM Udaipur.

IIM Udaipur successfully hosted Adhyay 2026 – Bangalore City Chapter Meet at Chin Lung, Marathahalli, nestled in the heart of one of Bangalore’s most vibrant corporate hubs.

The evening witnessed enthusiastic participation from alumni across different batches, along with the guest speaker Mr. Ganesh Krishnan, Co-Founder Growth Story, Serial Entrepreneur and the Alumnus of IIM Calcutta, Director of IIMU Prof. Ashok Banerjee, IIMU Faculty member Prof. Vedha Ponnappan, & the institute’s visiting Faculty Members Prof. Shanker Subramoney, Dr Praveen Kamath Kumbla, Prof. Mahesh Rao, Prof. Lakshman Pachineela Seshadri, Prof. Utkarsh Majmudar and In-charge Digital Enterprise Mr. Shekar Y and Mrs. Payal Pitliya, Head – One Year MBA Placements— making it a truly memorable celebration of connections, conversations, and shared experiences.

The event commenced with an address by the Director, Prof. Ashok Banerjee, who spoke about IIM Udaipur’s growing focus on AI, industry collaboration, mentorship, internships, and building stronger academia-industry partnerships to create future-ready talent. He also introduced the evening’s guest speaker, Ganesh Krishnan.

A major highlight of the evening was the insightful session by Ganesh Krishnan, serial entrepreneur associated with BigBasket, Portea, and BlueStone. Reflecting on entrepreneurship and innovation in India, he shared a powerful insight: “India has opportunities because many things still don’t work perfectly here — and that itself is the biggest opportunity for youngsters to build, solve, and innovate.” His message reinforced how India’s challenges often become the foundation for innovation and disruption.

Adhyay Bangalore showcased the vibrant spirit of the IIM Udaipur alumni community. Evenings featuring industry leaders like Mr. Ganesh Krishnan and insights from Director Prof. Ashok Banerjee highlight the connection between academia and industry. These gatherings foster shared learning and strengthen our network, inspiring us to reflect on our collective journey.
