We are bursting with pride to announce that one of our students Nayanjyoti Bhorali (নয়নজ্যোতি ভৰালী, 6th Semester, Mechanical Engineering Department) has emerged victorious in a Logo design competition organized by the Directorate Of Technical Education, Assam! 🏆🥇 He has clinched victory, triumphing over participants from 26 polytechnics of the state! His dedication, hard work, and talent have truly shone through, earning him this well-deserved achievement. 🌟👏

The logo designed by him will be used as the official Logo of Assam Engineering Services Recruitment Board (AESRB).

We wish him best wishes for his future endeavors! 🎉👏 Let's continue to support and empower each other on this journey of growth and accomplishment. 💪🌟

Industrial visit is one of the most crucial aspects and core part of the curriculum of diploma for polishing the professional skills of aspiring engineers.

Recently, the third semester students of Mechanical Engineering Department visited MSME - Technology Centre, Guwahati as a part of Professional Practice.

Key learning outcomes from the visit:
1. Learning the technologies used in conventional Workshop including Machine Shop, Milling Shop and Welding Shop
2. Advanced CNC Lathe and Milling, Wire EDM Technology
3. Application of CAD for product design
4. Working of Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
5. Applied 3D printing system
6. Technology used in Operational Injection Moulding Machine

'Roti', 'Kapada' aur 'Makaan' , is one of the most iconic Bollywood movies of 1970's. 'Roti', which is a staple food in many parts of our nation symbolizes Food as one of the basic necessity of our lives. With a revolutionary change in the food processing sector, we often enjoy delicious, healthy and mind-blowing meal at the comfort of our home but you will be amazed to know that more than 3 billion people (almost 40% of world's population) cannot afford a healthy and adequate diet (Source: Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)).

An agri-food system is a complex term that may seem far from your reality, but do you know our lives depend on them? Every time you eat, you participate in the system. The food we choose and the way we produce, prepare, cook and store it make us an integral and active part of the way in which an agri-food system works.

This 16th October, on the occasion of World Food Day let's take a pledge of making a sustainable agri-food system.

The department of Food Processing Technology, Udalguri Polytechnic, Assam invites everyone to be a part of the celebration of World Food Day and make it a successful one.

We must consider ourselves really lucky amid this pandemic as we can stay at home and keep ourselves safe. But the doctors are continuously working day and night to save many lives. Udalguri Polytechnic, Assam shows gratitude to all the doctors for being savior of all in these difficult times.

We wish all the doctors a Happy Doctor's Day.

Also, we thank all the others frontline workers who stood against the wave.

Currently there are 26 Polytechnics (including the 5 newly established Polytechnics) in the state of Assam offering wide range of courses.

Udalguri Polytechnic, Assam was established in the year 2020 and currently offering 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering, Food Processing Technology and Mechanical Engineering.

The branch of Food Processing Technology is one of the most emerging branches of Engineering in the nation and Udalguri Polytechnic is the only institute amongst all polytechnics to offer this course.
